And Not Really Knowing Where Their Money’s Goingimage004

image005These days, Angry Andersonians are still trying to figure out how much their Hamilton County Property Taxes actually increased because of that Forrest Gump School Tax Hike Scam voters unwisely approved, and Hamilton County Treasurer Robert A. Goering is reminding everybody to make sure they have a lot of extra cash in their checking accounts next Monday to cover those humongous checks they’ll have to write to pay their Jacked-Up Hamilton County Real Estate Taxes.

image005And if that’s not bad enough, Forrest Gump over-taxed payers are mostly unaware of changes to the plans for spending the renovation money they approved. Will they care they were suckers for the propaganda the school district illegally developed and bombarded them with to convince them of the fine plans the leaders had for the money?

image005image006Anderson High School people will be especially sickened. They will soon be able to see the intentional favoritism that hugely benefits Turpin at their expense.

image005They will also see the loss of athletic fields to provide for a new bus terminal if current proposals move forward. The school district used the bond funds to purchase and rehab new administration facilities farther down Beechmont Avenue. Away from the bus depot, of course, which will be built on and around the site of the old admin building. Somebody should ask if those new facilities include a private office for self-proclaimed School District Czar Randy Smith.

image005image006Township residents will be able to enjoy (not) a view of the relocated massive new bus parking lot and maintenance garages as they drive by on Beechmont Avenue. Excellent view of it as well for the tenants of the new office building going up behind McDonald’s. The noise and exhaust fumes will be especially enjoyable for them.

image005Board member and Turpin resident Forest T. Heis told his own private truth when he was quoted in the local papers leading up to the levy vote, “We can’t keep pushing it off,” he said. “I see this plan as a complete renovation of the district.”  Truth?  Not as most voters interpreted it. Misleading?  To be sure, it was the finest political technique.image006image007
