DOUBLE HEADER SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY

Notice of a Policy Committee Meeting

Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Policy Committee of the Board of Education of the Forest Hills School District, Hamilton County, Ohio, will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. the Central Office, 7946 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45255.

The purpose of this meeting is to review Volume 40 No. 2 NEOLA policy updates.

Any general purpose of the committee that requires attention will be also addressed.

The Anderson Apocalypse has been advised that the Policy Committee is meeting to review NEOLA policy updates.  NEOLA is an educational consulting firm.

So, it seems that policy is outsourced.  No wonder the district is in the confused state it’s in.

No doubt, our rookies will be even more confused than the occasional experienced board member.

Notice of a Records Commission Meeting
Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Records Commission of the Forest Hills School District, Hamilton County, Ohio, will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 2:50 p.m. the Central Office, 7946 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45255.

The purpose of this meeting is to review and approve disposal applications.

Any general purpose of the Records Commission that requires attention will be also addressed.

Then we see there’s something called a “Records Commission” meeting.  This one is really interesting.

Established in Ohio Revised Code 149.41:

“There is hereby created in each city, local, joint vocational, and exempted village school district a school district records commission, and in each educational service center an educational service center records commission. Each records commission shall be composed of the president, the treasurer of the board of education or governing board of the educational service center, and the superintendent of schools in each such district or educational service center. The commission shall meet at least once every twelve months.

“The function of the commission shall be to review applications for one-time disposal of obsolete records and schedules of records retention and disposition submitted by any employee of the school district or educational service center. The commission may dispose of records pursuant to the procedure outlined in section 149.381 of the Revised Code. The commission, at any time, may review any schedule it has previously approved and, for good cause shown, may revise that schedule under the procedure outlined in that section.”

Could this be where proof of district misfeasance, nonfeasance, and malfeasance disappears?  A reason why apocalypses seem to be un-ending?  Why no one ever seems to be held accountable?

Can you imagine board presidents Jim Frooman or Randy Smith and superintendents Dallas Jackson or Scot Prebles taking care of this business? Off to the side on an obscure committee?  Oh yeah.

Who knows?  They certainly don’t want us to.
