And Residents Will Be Paying MORE Than Their Fair Share
Bluegrass Bureau Chief Ken CamBoo wonders how many huffy-and-overheated homeowners plan to show up and raise hell at next Tuesday’s Boondoggle County Commissioners meeting.
That’s because in an effort to avoid an unpopular property tax increase, Commissioner Charlie “I’m Still Kickin” Walton is following Campbell County’s pushing for NEW TAX to pay for both 911 and police & fire communications equipment. After all, what kind of heartless bastard could be against those? Maybe that’s why they are supposed to be part of your property taxes!
Borrowing a page from Steve Tax’n Spendry, Boondogglers will require the owner of every home to pay almost a $100 year. What they don’t want you to know is the fact that heavy users of the 911 system, like WalMart and every other 5-finger discounter will only have to pay the same $100 a year, no matter how much they abuse the system!
With Boondoggle County’s substantial surplus, and this new $6 million annual tax, Judge Executive Gary Moore would be happy. Because as Gary always says, “Moore Taxes Means Moore Money!”
