HAPPY BOSS’ DAY, EVERYBODY

National Bosses Day, also known as Boss’s Day, is being celebrated tomorrow. According to the “Inquisitr,” you should always mark the date on your calendar, especially if you want to keep your job. And if you don’t have time to buy a card, you can always post a quote about how great your boss is on Facebook or send a one-line greeting right to the head honcho via a text message.

image010OUR QUOTE FOR TODAY COMMITTEE says most people would be impressed with Bill Gates’ “If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss. He doesn’t have tenure,” but Wise Guys at The Blower prefer John Gotti’s “If you think your boss is stupid, remember: you wouldn’t have a job if he was any smarter.”

Here’s one way to observe: Show your boss some appreciation and use #BossDay to post on social media, unless your boss is Bill Clinton, in which case you would be expected to give him a Bosses Day Blow Job.

image010HURLEY THE HISTORIAN says National Boss’s Day is observed annually on October 16. Employees across the United States who want to keep their jobs can show appreciation and thankfulness to their bosses for being kind and fair throughout the year by celebrating National Boss’s Day.  (If the 16th of October falls on a weekend, then this day is celebrated on the closest working day.)

National Boss’s Day, also known as National Boss Day or Bosses Day, is a secular holiday that began in 1958.  Patricia Bays Haroski worked as a secretary for State Farm Insurance Company in Deerfield, Illinois when she registered “National Boss’s Day” with the United States Chamber of Commerce.  She selected October 16 because it was her father’s birthday and at the time, he was also her employer! It was four years later, in 1962, that Illinois Governor, Otto Kerner, backed Haroski’s registration and officially proclaimed Boss’s day. In 1979, Hallmark Cards introduced Boss’s Day cards to their inventory. There are over 1,200 national days. Don’t miss a single one. Dumbed Down Americans can celebrate Every Day with the National Day Calendar

image006image010FINALLY, AT YESTERDAY’S MEETING OF THE CONSERVATIVE AGENDA, Political Insiders were asking Beloved Whistleblower Publisher Charles Foster Kane why The Blower never had a National Bosses Day E-dition until last year. “It’s really embarrassing,” Kane admitted, “but there was that one time in 2010 when over at Channel 19, ‘Trish the Dish’ got Sweetest Day mixed up with Bosses Day and we had a ‘Sweetest Bosses Day’ E-dition. Maybe sometime we could have a special day for people who have sex with their bosses. Whistleblower Gossip Columnist Linda Libel would really like to work on that. Remember “Boinking Becky” Collins, who used to work in our Disgraced Former Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office?

Now here’s one really lame way to show your boss some appreciation. Use #BossDay to post on social media, unless your boss is Bill Clinton, in which case you would be expected to give him a Bosses Day Blow Job.
