This week, the Republican majority in the House kicked off the new Congress by passing legislation that begins to reign in the Biden administration and reasserts common sense American values.

• Repeal funding for the 87,000 new IRS agents
• Prevent President Biden from selling our emergency oil reserves to China
• Create medical protections for babies that survive an attempted abortion
• Establish a Select Committee on countering China’s efforts to undermine the U.S.
• Establish a Select Committee to end the Weaponization of the Federal Government against Americans
• Condemn recent attacks on pro-life facilities, groups, and churches 
• Support the nation’s law enforcement agencies and condemn any efforts to defund or dismantle law enforcement agencies

Unfortunately, the Senate is unlikely to consider these and other forthcoming Republican legislation anytime soon. However, if our Republican majority works together, these important measures can be included in must-pass legislation such as an appropriations bill, the defense authorization act, or other legislative packages.

I will stand up against this political violence and am proud to join my colleagues in passing a resolution condemning these attacks against pro-life organizations.”
