Just As The Blower Predicted
Noted Texas Political Reporter Longhorn Tadwell says there was only a single moment of Republican Rapport at the beginning of Thursday night at CNN’s Harangue in Houston when a towering figure of their party got his due: former President George H.W. Bush got a standing ovation at the Republican debate. It was a clearly emotional moment for the Bushes ― George and his wife Barbara, who occupied the White House from 1989 through 1993 ― as the assembled crowd in the former president’s hometown of Houston, Texas, rose to their feet in appreciation.
But when the debate began, it turned out to be a World Wrestling Federation Texas Tag Team Ratings Grabber featuring Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz pulling out all the stops and doing their best to take down Donald Trump a few days before next week’s Super Tuesday Primaries, when it could all be over.
Some people thought their Trump Attack looked like a couple of small dogs fighting over table scraps. Rubio and Cruz got their fair share of punishment, too.
The best moment of the night was when Ben Carson said, “I wish somebody would attack me so I could get some air time.”
And Hillary’s ears must have been burning, too.
Trump’s Supporters thought he did well fending off all those attacks, not only from the other candidates, but from the Republican Establishment in Washington, too. Especially when he mentioned his endorsements.
And that question on taxes, too.
But some people blamed CNN’s Wolf Blitzer for letting things get so out-of-control.
And the audience was packed with people to boo Trump.
Some people at home don’t like Trump, either.
And Dishonest DemocRATS hope Republicans stay mad at each other.
So what good did all those Trump attacks do? Probably not much, if these illustrations are any indication!
