Anderson High School, still home of the Anderson Redskins, has been designated a “Blue Tarp School” thanks to the efforts of its school board.  The award, displayed prominently on the front of the building, is no doubt part of the “Cover-Up.”

This is the second “blue” award for AHS which was named a Blue Ribbon School in 1994 during the heyday of Forest Hills School District.

School board member Jim Frooman who forced the building project on over-taxed payers resulting in this award noted, “As I said on several occasions promoting the building levy, we had to do Something.  It’s far from great, but at least it’s Something.  Since we kept that promise you have to vote for our big tax hike in November.”

Voters approved the building levy in 2014.  Anderson High School remains under construction in 2019.  Major building issues remain untouched.  The levy money is long gone.  The school district is in a financial hole and is on the wrong side of several multiple-digit lawsuits.  Questions regarding district and school board ethics during this project have also been raised.

Our Over-Taxed Andersonian Clough Corbly says “Congratulations school board members, AHS, and Forest Hills!”
