This Sunday in America…

The Blower’s wondering how many congregations across America are hearing Prayers for Police Officers during Obama’s Summer of Racial Violence, especially after one of Obama’s #BlackLivesDon’tMeanCrap Race Warriors in Houston brutally gunned down Harris County deputy Darren Goforth Goforth at a gas station Friday evening.

“This is an act of cowardice and brutality, the likes of which I’ve never seen,” said Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson. “We will use all our resources to prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law.”

Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman condemned the “very dangerous national rhetoric” about police officers that he said was out of control. His remarks echoed comments in the same news conference by Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson, who said the criticism of police had gotten out of hand. “It is time for the silent majority in this country to support law enforcement,” she told reporters at a news conference. “There are a few bad apples in every profession, but that does not mean there should be open warfare on law enforcement.”

Saturday night, Sheriff David Clarke placed blame for the execution of Harris County deputy Darren Goforth squarely upon President Barack Obama and former Attorney General Eric Holder. The Milwaukee County Sheriff said that Obama and Holder laid the groundwork for “this war on police” by supporting ‘activists’ who have disparaged law enforcement based upon a set of lies.

All of which is what The Blower has been saying for quite some time. And the least we can do is offer “A Police Officer’s Prayer” (author unknown):

Law Enforcement Officers.
Protect Them From Harm
In The Performance Of Their Duty
To Stop Crime, Robberies,
Riots And Violence.

Our Streets And Homes Safe
Day And Night.
We Recommend Them To
Your Loving Care
Because Their Duty Is Dangerous.
Grant Them Your Unending Strength And
Courage In Their Daily Assignments.
Dear God, Protect These
Brave Men & Women,
Grant Them Your Almighty
Protection,
Unite Them Safely With Their
Families After Duty Has Ended.
