Weekly Whistleblower Limerick Contest
Elections Rejections
This week, everybody who couldn’t wait for Tuesday’s election to be over so the 2016 Elections could officially begin, e-mailed an entry to the Whistleblower Limerick Contest.
The winner is Card-Carrying Conservative Gary Boldwater, who wonders why some people in Ohio, who said they wanted want less government, voted to send even more money to local governments and tax themselves even more!
Gary wins an Official Whistleblower Campaign Countdown Clock, a commemorative “Save Us, Alex” bumper sticker, and some leftovers from the losers’ election night parties.
This year when the Elections are done
We won’t yet be having much fun.
‘Cause the streetcar’s not out
And the Liberals still pout
All our fun has not yet begun.
And from the Unlicensed Anderson Laureate (It’s not terribly mean-spirited this time, but then, he’s a Republican):
This year when the elections are done
I’ll be so glad ’cause it hasn’t been fun
Tim Burka’s not laughing and smirking
Alex’s BS still isn’t working
Why couldn’t he find someone like Lincoln to run?
And Bluegrass Bureau Chief sent in this inspiring limerick from reader George Struve: in an old WSJ James Taranto column:
Alison Lundergen Grimes
Did she vote for Obama two times?
Perhaps even once?
She acted the dunce
And now it’s with “boozer” she rhymes
