Hurley the Historian says all those Dumbed-Down, Self-Absorbed, Media-Influenced, Celebrity-Obsessed, Politically-Correct, Uninformed, Short-Attention-Span, Free-Stuff Grabbing, Low-Information Obama Supporters Who Put Obama In The White House—Twice, and get all of their information from our Obama Supporters in the Press, knew today (October 21, 2015) was “Back to the Future” Day, the day Marty McFly and Doc Brown time-traveled to in their DeLorean in the classic 1985 film. Among them: Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who released a slick Web ad on Wednesday using the movie’s premise to promote his Republican candidacy — and mock DemocRAT frontrunner Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden’s potential bid as a return to the past. “In 1989 we went back to the future. Now that we’re here, it’s more like a blast from the past,” text at the beginning of the ad reads before a video clip from last week’s DemocRAT debate rolls.
In Washington, our DC Newsbreaker says the Conservative Republican Freedom Caucus not ready to endorse Wisconsin Republican Congressman Paul Ryan for House Speaker tonight. Republican Congressman Raul Labrador, leader of the HFC, noted that about two-thirds of the conservative group backs Ryan for the Speakership, but said the group will only endorse if 80 % of members support Ryan. We couldn’t get to a consensus, Labrador said.
Whistleblower Senior National Political Affairs Analyst Britt Humus says CNBC announced the third Republican debate will look a lot like the last one. Ten of the 11 candidates on stage for the September 16 debate on CNN are expected to be on the main stage on October 28, when the party gathers in Boulder for an event televised by CNBC. The only exception is Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who dropped out shortly after the last debate. GOP frontrunner Donald Trump will again be center stage. He’ll be flanked by Ben Carson, the retired neurosurgeon who has a tight grip on second place, according to an average of the qualifying polls. The other eight candidates who will make the main stage are Florida Senator Marco Rubio Carly Fiorina, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, Ohio Governor John Kasich, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul.
There’s also a second debate for candidates polling below an average of 2.5 percent, but who have hit at least 1% in any qualifying poll. That debate will include the same four candidates as last time — former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum, former NY Governor George Pataki, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham. Former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore who did not qualify for last month’s debate, will not qualify for this month’s either.
Christie, Kasich and Paul tied for the lowest score of the top ten candidates as of Wednesday afternoon with 3%. The 2.5 % threshold made it essentially impossible for any additional candidates to jump onto the main stage, but both Paul and Christie briefly flirted with that floor. The pair had dipped below 3% as late as Monday and could have been knocked out with at least two additional polls at 1% or lower. Instead, both were saved by stronger numbers.
Buckeye Bureau Chief Gerry Manders says if Kasich were the least bit serious about improving his numbers, he’d high-tail it back to Columbus PDQ and ramrod legislation cutting Planned Parenthood funding, after Ohio senators advanced a bill on Wednesday that would eliminate state and federal funding for Planned Parenthood clinics, following undercover videos about the women’s healthcare provider’s handling of fetal tissue. Conservatives don’t forget when Kasich said Congress shouldn’t shut down the government over the fight to defund Planned Parenthood.
Taking a principled stand for once would really piss off those Liberal Whackos. Here’s a typical Liberal response found in the Liberal Agenda Fishwrap: “The lying liars on the Right modify a lying video and they swear by it to further their pitiful war on women. All this is probably being done in an attempt to reinvigorate Kasich’s miserably failed campaign for President. As such I’ll ask why any woman would vote for any Teapublican? I encourage everyone to not only to Vote…. But to vote out every Republican at every Level and in every election. Rid our society of the cancer on our population they’ve become…. they can’t govern themselves how in the world can ANYONE expect them to govern us?”
