Earlier today in our “Columbus Day Name Change” E-dition The Blower suggested Political Correctness just might be running amok because at least nine cities were pandering to American Indians on Columbus Day by celebrating “Indigenous Peoples’ Day” on the same day as the federally recognized holiday Columbus Day to pander to the American Indians.
Some other of today’s headline stories we saw on Weasel Zippers might lead a prudent person to a similar conclusion:
An Oregon Middle Schooler was suspended for wearing a shirt supporting American Troops. The eighth-grader — whose brother served in the Marines — refused to change into a school shirt. “They won’t let us support the people who keep us free, I’m not going to support them,” he told a local Fox affiliate.

A Disabled Iraq War Vet’s Eleven-Year-Old Twins in Texas can’t wear jackets with a US Air Force Logo to school. He is a disabled Iraq War veteran who immediately called the principal and was told the Air Force logo was fine, but it was just too large for the district’s strict dress code.

A Soldier’s Mom in Pennsylvania was told she told by her homeowners’ association that she would need written permission to hang a small Blue Star banner in her window. Since World War II, Blue Star Mothers have traditionally hung the flag when they have a son or daughter serving the country.

Being Politically Correct means always having to say you’re sorry, according to all those Dumbed-Down, Self-Absorbed, Media-Influenced, Celebrity-Obsessed, Politically-Correct, Uninformed, Short-Attention-Span, Free-Stuff Grabbing, Low-Information Obama Voters Who Put Obama In The White House—Twice, and get all of their information from our Obama Supporters in the Press, who would rather ride to downtown Cincinnati on a bus and stand in line for three hours to vote, than mail in absentee ballots.
