Other Important Events That Happened On This Date
WHISTLEBLOWER SUMMER INTERNS Rachel, Bradley, Ashley, and Hunter know how Our Beloved Publisher Charles Foster Kane likes to see his name in print, and thought it would be amusing to show you this story in our August 13, 1991 Edition, where Kane was scheduled to appear at the meeting of the Society of Professional Journalists exactly 24 years ago this week.
The Blower remembers two years ago when Hall of Fame Cartoonist and Illustrator Jerry Dowling reminded his readers about the time The Blower stole our “Mr. Whistle” logo from him.[HERE’S THAT DAY’S LINK] He let us do it because we ripped Enquirer executives almost every day. We even mentioned fat slob news editor Jim “Orca” Smith going across the street repeatedly to bring back double deck hamburgers all night long. That got The Whistleblower banned from the Enquirer newsroom. Now, The Blower is online and Feckless Fishwrappers can see new stories posted several times a day.
These days Jerry Dowling is drawing award-winning caricatures of some famous people, including some of the 2016 Republican candidates for President like Donald Trump and Ohio Governor John Kasich, and Dowling’s Drivel Blog is better than ever.
HURLEY THE HISTORIAN says on this date in 1945 Japan surrendered to end WWII in the Pacific and our Victory over Japan was celebrated as “VJ Day.” Last year, those smoochers on Times Square in NYC were reunited for the most famous kiss in History? Disgraced Former Pants-Dropper-in-Chief used to call it “BJ Day,” but that was just like any other day in the Oval Office. Yesterday, The New York Times blasted the Clinton Foundation. This could pose a few problems for Bill and Hillary.
AND OUR QUOTE FOR TODAY COMMITTEE chose Harry S. Truman’s, “The atom bomb was no “great decision.” It was merely another powerful weapon in the arsenal of righteousness.”
MORE MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR LAWSUITS JUST WAITING TO BE FILED: Did everybody see where the University of Cincinnati Police Department has now resumed off-campus patrols, but have caved in to #BlackTicketsMatter, that bogus Liberal Fake Outrage Group for a downtrodden minority that was formed right here in Cincinnati to protest the racist practice of police giving traffic tickets to Black motorists and pedestrians in Black neighborhoods just because they’re breaking the law.
The Blower’s Legal Dream Team can hardly wait to see the first lawsuit after a UC police officer claims he suspected a driver of operating a vehicle under the influence yet was not permitted to conduct a traffic stop while patrolling off campus on a city street. How horrifying will it be if the drunk driver proceeds to cause a catastrophic accident where someone loses his life or is horribly maimed and injured as a result of this lunacy?
Imagine the public outcry as UC officers line up to announce although they observed the drunk driver, they were unable to prevent the tragedy because they’d been ordered not to engage in traffic enforcement while patrolling off campus. Is anyone really giving this issue the serious consideration it deserves?
This makes The Blower wonder if UC has any lawyers who understand constitutional law, policing, or municipal liability. They either are or they aren’t permitted to patrol out of their jurisdiction. If they are, they have the policing authority and powers granted to them by state law as peace officers. “Do everything except traffic enforcement because we have a hunch that maybe that will ensnare more black people and that would look bad” isn’t a viable option — it artificially limits the exercise of the statutory powers. They can restrict them to campus, but they can’t cut a deal with the city that allows them to be sort-of police off-campus.
Ticket Trasher Tino Delgato says wouldn’t it make sense first to realize the makeup of those patrolled UC neighborhoods? It is possible that majority of the local non UC traffic is comprised of Minorities. Perhaps that might explain the high percentage of “tickets” given to Black People. UC is now paying $700,000+ for four “executives” to head up Campus Security. Here’s an idea: LET Cincinnati Police do THEIR job OFF campus, dump the four executives and 40 (of 73) UC cops. That should help pay for the huge DuBose civil suit to subsidize DuBose’s 13 Children and their greedy unwed mothers. Go Figure!!!
Meanwhile, Illinois drivers will now pay an extra $5 fee on traffic tickets to help equip police officers with body cameras under a sweeping new law Republican Governor Bruce Rauner signed Wednesday as the state tries to address recent controversies over police use of force. Hello, Cranley. See how easy it would be to find money to pay for CPD’s “Body Cams,” especially if you turned UC Police Officers loose in the community, although they might not find as many lawbreaking drivers with no front license plates on their cars, 90 arrests and no driver’s license with 13 illegitimate children not wearing seat belts in the back seat in Hyde Park, Anderson, or Indian Hill.
FINALLY, AT YESTERDAY’S MEETING OF THE CONSERVATIVE AGENDA, Political Insiders were asking Beloved Whistleblower Publisher Charles Foster Kane about all the reasons Republicans are coming up with to vote for Donald Trump these days. Here’s one I don’t think anybody’s mentioned,” Kane explained. “This woman would be our first lady.”
