Resignation to the Inevitable
Every day The Blower receives e-mails claiming there’s a huge movement afoot to impeach Obama, and more Congressmen have jumped on the bandwagon. But The Blower remembers a year ago when The White House actually claimed to be worried about Obama’s Impeachment and some people said Obama was begging to be impeached. Republican Texas Congressman Steve Stockman even said, “He wants us to impeach him now, before the midterm election because his senior advisors believe that is the only chance the DemocRAT Party has to avoid a major electoral defeat. Evidently Obama believes impeachment could motivate the D-RATS to come out and vote.”
That day the latest fundraising e-mail we got from the D-RATS only mentioned “Impeachment” 13 times. No Kidding!
The Blower says putting the nation through the ordeal of impeachment would be drastic. But the framers of the Constitution designed impeachment to stop precisely what Obama has been doing for years: grabbing more power than the Constitution allows. So how many years has The Blower been talking about impeaching Obama anyway?
Now Let’s Meet Today’s Guest Editor Why, it’s none other than Watergate Burglar G. Gordon Liddy, who got the Nixon Impeachment Ball rolling when he and some of Nixon’s White House Plumbers got themselves arrested on June 17, 1972, for breaking into DemocRAT National Committee headquarters in the Watergate building in Washington, D.C., and subsequent investigations of the Watergate scandal led to Nixon’s resignation forty-one years ago on Sunday in 1974.
That’s just one reason why The Blower was honored to choose his old friend G. Gordon to be this week’s guest editor and choose three Impeachment Updates plus an Impeachment One Liner for today’s E-dition from our Current Cadre of Conservative Columnists and Contributors.
Beloved Whistleblower Publisher Charles Foster Kane remembers that time Liddy made him an Honorary Watergate Burglar. “That was quote an honor,” Kane explained. “Liddy even told me who ‘Deep Throat’ was. Fortunately, Liddy said it was not actress Linda Lovelace, famous for her performance in the 1972 hardcore porn film Deep Throat. “Liddy was right,” Kane said. That’s why today our Quote for Today Committee chose Liddy’s “Obviously crime pays, or there’d be no crime.”
“IMPEACH OBAMA, OR WRITE OFF PROCESS FOREVER”…from Joseph Farah at World Net Daily
The DemocRATS have successfully conned the Republican majority in the House – or at least the leadership – into believing they welcome it.
This is an example of counterintuitive Saul Alinsky-style disinformation at its best.
DemocRATS say they’re raising money fighting impeachment.
They say it will help them in the midterm election.
They say talk of impeaching the first black president smacks of racism.
And the Republican leadership, the Republican elite, the Rockefeller country-club Republicans believe them.

“DON’T IMPEACH OBAMA, CENSURE HIM” by John Fund at National Review Online
Forty years ago this week, Richard Nixon resigned the presidency. Not long before his resignation, the House Judiciary Committee’ had approved articles of impeachment against him. The consensus is that Nixon had committed wrongs that amounted to the “high crimes and misdemeanors” specified in the Constitution for removal from office. There is general agreement among current White House critics that President Obama has not done so, with 2012 vice-presidential nominee Paul Ryan being the latest GOP leader to express that view.
However, President Obama may soon change people’s minds if this fall he unilaterally suspends deportations of illegal aliens or extends work permits to them, using the excuse that Congress hasn’t passed the kind of immigration reform he would like. After all, no less a constitutional expert than Barack Obama told a Univision town hall in 2011: “With respect to the notion that I can just suspend deportations through executive order, that’s just not the case.”

“NIXON VS OBAMA: Who Deserves Impeachment More?” by John Hinderaker in Powerline
Impeachment is a political remedy, not a legal one, and Republicans in Washington should never even hint at impeaching Barack Obama. Still, you would have to be an unusually obtuse observer not to notice that the grounds for removing Obama from office are stronger than the grounds that were deemed sufficient to impeach Richard Nixon. The president’s most fundamental constitutional duty is to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed,” but Obama has not even pretended to execute the laws faithfully. Rather, he enforces the ones of which he approves, and declines to execute the law whenever it is politically convenient for him to do so. Further, Obama’s cover-ups of various scandals–Fast and Furious, Benghazi and the IRS are probably the best known, but by no means the only ones–are at least as brazen as Nixon’s cover-up of Watergate, and much more successful.
Michael Ramirez draws the comparison:
Nixon had his faults, but one thing we can say in his favor: he was nowhere near as dishonest as Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton.

Some of Today’s Conservative Political Cartoons
- A YEAR AGO TODAY, OUR “LIBERALS SAY THE STUPIDEST THINGS” WINNER was Third-ranked House DemocRAT, South Carolina Congressman James Clyburn played the Race Card and the Impeachment Card at the same time when he gave voters an ultimatum: “Elect Dems To A House Majority Or GOP Will Impeach Obama Because He’s Black.”
Remember: We never print all the bad stuff we know and certain people ought to be damn glad we don’t, especially Race-baiter James Clyburn, who starts every morning with a hot cup of hatred for White People.
Weekly Whistleblower Limerick Contest
Juris-Prudish
This week, everybody who couldn’t decide if Hamilton County Prosecutor “JayWalking Joe” Deters performed his over-the-top rant about White cops killing Black people to quell any local unrest or for his own national media attention e-mailed entries to the Whistleblower Limerick Contest.
The winner is Channel 9 “Substantially True” News Personality Carol Williams. She was so outraged about the way Deters used the word “ASS-inine” at his press conference, she repeated the word “ASS-inine” 137 times during her play-by-play of the long-awaiting tape of Officer Tensing’s body cam, for which the news media had been clamoring. “I was deeply offended by Deters’ use of such a vile-and-disgusting word like ‘ASS-inine.’ ” Ms. Williams explained. “No gentleman would ever use such a word. He really made a fucking ASS-hole out of himself.”
Carol wins a sneak peek at all the evidence Deters plans to introduce at Tensing’s trial, a copy of Deters’ already written jury summation, and a front seat on the media bus to another county after the judge is forced to grant Tensing’s attorney a change of venue because of Deters’ over-the-top rhetoric. Her winning Limerick is:
When Joe Deters starts his next rant
You won’t dare tell him he can’t
‘Cause he’ll say something absurd
So the press will repeat every word
And give protesters something to chant.
And from the Anderson Laureate (who uses the word “ASS-inine” all the time)”
When Joe Deters stars his next rant
He hopes he won’t have to recant.
He’ll have a big win
With the right spin
If the press gives it a Conservative slant.
The first line of next week’s limerick is:
