Tonight Is Just Another Made-For-TV Event

image005image004CLEVELAND: Buckeye Bureau Chief Gerry Manders says Lincoln and Douglas are really spinning in their graves today. They can hardly believe all that hype about tonight’s televised “Joint Press Conference” in Cleveland among the top ten announced 2016 Republican Presidential Candidates at 9 PM that Fox News is still calling a “Debate,” when all people will really see is the media circus put on by the Republican National Committee where a group of candidates will be on the same stage with TV Personalities like FOX News’ Brett Baier, Megyn Kelly, and Chris Wallace asking them softball questions. These days, there’s so much hype about tonight’s American President Game Show, you’d think Members of our Mendacious News Meeting were promoting another press spectacular featuring Hamilton County Prosecutor “JayWalking Joe” Deters’ over-the-top rant about White cops killing Black people.

image005image007In a related item, Hurley the Historian says according to the scholars at Lincoln/ Net, this week in 1858 people in Illinois were getting ready for a series of seven debates for the Illinois U.S. Senate seat to be held across the state of Illinois between Republican nominee Abraham Lincoln and DemocRAT nominee Stephen Douglas. The debates served as a precursor for the issues that Lincoln would face in the 1860 presidential election. The debates were well-attended and covered heavily by the press throughout the state. After losing the election, Lincoln edited the transcripts for the debates and published them into a book. The success of this publication helped Lincoln secure the Republican Party nomination at the 1860 GOP Convention. [READ MORE HERE]

But Hurley says those were real debates in the days before TV, where two political adversaries went at each other in front of large audiences for hours in the hot sun. No scripts. No moderators. And no Teleprompters.

image005These days, Obama Supporters in the Press would use the Lincoln-Douglas Debates to further the Liberal Agenda’s Exploitation of Racism. Bumbling Joe Biden, who more voters now say would be a better president than Hillary Clinton, would be playing the Race Card by telling black folks Republicans are going to “put Y’ALL back in chains.”

image005Not to worry: Obama would say Biden’s remarks are never considered racist and Obama would still plan to mark the next Anniversary of MLK’s “I Have A Dream Speech” into yet another fundraising opportunity.

image005Disingenuous DemocRATS would issue Talking Points advocating using those Race Riots in Ferguson, Missouri, Baltimore, and almost Cincinnati to attack the NRA and Gun Owners.

image005Hate mongers from #BlackLivesDon’tMeanCrap would attempt to gain legitimacy from unnamed columns in newspapers like The Fishwrap supporting the Liberal Agenda.

image005Members of the NAALCD (National Association for the Advancement of Liberal Colored DemocRATS) would threaten protests, demonstrations, and boycotts unless the Kentucky State Fair board banned sales of Confederate Flag merchandise at the State Fair and other events, like your local flea market, church bazaar, and garage sale.
