Gallup Poll About TEA Party Support May Only Tell Part Of The Story

Whistleblower Pollster Ron Rasmussen says yesterday’s Gallup TEA Party Poll got a reaction from some of our TEA Party Patriots, especially after Gallup reported Americans’ support for the TEA Party has dropped to its lowest level since the movement emerged on the national political scene prior to the 2010 midterm elections, stating only 17% of Americans now consider themselves TEA Party supporters, and a record 54% say they are neither supporters nor opponents.

image009image006Ohio TEA Party Guy Tom Zawistowski, President of the We the People Convention, says he doesn’t dispute the polls results, but he does have a different interpretation of what they mean. Zawistowski said “The fact is, the TEA Party Movement is really like a political militia. When it comes time to defend our freedom and liberty, we come out and join the political fight – and as we have shown in 2010, 2012, and 2014 with historic success. But we have jobs, we have families, we have farms to take care of and so we have to take time to go home and tend to our business. Unlike our phony political opponents like Acorn or Black Lives Matter or Occupy Wall Street, we aren’t paid to protest or vote, we use our own time and money to fight simply because we love our nation and our freedom and we will do whatever it takes to defend them. As Gallop rightfully noted, the previous low in support came in 2011 when nothing much was happening politically, then surged for the 2012 election. Gallop also rightfully noted that virtually all of the people who no longer directly support the TEA Party did not say they were against it, they said that they neither “opposed nor supported the movement.”  Zawistowski thinks that proves his point, support of the movement should be lower now and it will become higher again next year as the Presidential race plays out.

image009image006Zawistowski concluded “Despite the dreams of the socialist DemocRAT left, the Republican Chamber of Commerce controlled establishment, and the Liberal News Media, including Fox TV, the TEA Party Movement isn’t going anywhere. It isn’t losing strength but is gaining strength – a strength which is not based on membership. The greatest success of the TEA Party Movement over the past six years has been its ability to educate the electorate about the corruption of our media, our political parties and our government at the local, state and federal levels. The proof of that success manifested itself in the recent poll that showed 62% of Republican felt that they had been betrayed by their party leaders, which is true, but has never before been so clearly evident to the electorate thanks to our educational efforts. The same is also seen in the all time low rating of public trust in the media in a recent poll, equally demonstrated in loses in paid subscribers and total viewers.  It’s pretty clear, that those people who no longer consider themselves to be part of the TEA Party Movement, have been changed forever thanks to the efforts of the TEA Party Movement, and those changes will be showing up in the polling booth for decades to come. Let me put it like this, if we were losing, Eric Cantor would still be in Congress, John Boehner would still be Speaker, McCarthy would have been his replacement and Paul Ryan would not have had to walk back his “conditions” for being speaker. The TEA Party Movement may be dormant now, but it clearly has the ability to rise up and strike down the enemies of freedom and liberty at a moment’s notice.image003image008
