Ellis III blasted Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team saying they had lied about the scope of their political witch hunt, are seeking “unfettered power,” and are more interested in bringing down the president, along with demanding to see the unredacted “scope memo,” a document outlining the scope of the special counsel’s Russia probe that congressional Republicans have also sought.
Maybe that’s why Judge Ellis summed up the Special Counsel’s Office this way: ‘We said this was what [the] investigation was about, but we are not bound by it and we were lying.’ ”
Judge Ellis is the first legal entity to identify the origin of the special counsel investigative authority for what it was: a sleazy attempt by Mueller to squeeze Manafort. No wonder he likened the whole thing to a small-time drug dealer getting pinched.
Did Mueller’s Joke Prosecutors really try to tell the Federal Court that Rosenstein’s so-called Investigative Scope was detailed in Super-Secret Verbal Instructions? No wonder so many people say Mueller reminds them of that scene from “Animal House,” when Dean Wormer said the guys from Delta House were all on “Double Secret Probation.”
