Tonight’s Top News Stories You Won’t See On The Front Page Of The Fishwrap

Ohio’s Eighth District Republican Congressman Warren Davidson says

This last week marked one year since Russia began its full-fledged invasion of Ukraine. Biden spent Presidents’ Day meeting with Ukraine’s President Zelensky in Kyiv. On Friday, the Biden Administration pledged an additional $10 billion in assistance to Ukraine.

Since the start of the war, the U.S. has provided roughly $120 billion in military, economic, and humanitarian support to Ukraine. Zelensky’s firing of nine top Ukrainian officials, following reports of corruption, highlights the need for greater Congressional scrutiny. I joined 36 of my colleagues in sending a letter to the Office of Management and Budget requesting a detailed report of U.S. government expenditures to Ukraine.

While I support Ukraine’s right to self-defense and self-determination, this is not our war to fight. Providing billions of dollars of support for a preventable war will weaken our long-term defensive capabilities. We cannot defend America if we are bankrupt. Our $30 trillion national debt necessitates fiscal discipline, not unaccountable spending on foreign interventions.

Countering the Chinese Communist Party

American companies should not have to compete against foreign governments. The structure of the World Trade Organization (WTO) has masked a purposely soft approach to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that continues to grow CCP influence while undermining American interests. The CCP still does not comply with its WTO treaty obligations yet maintains its status as a developing nation. This status confers special benefits and reduces their international obligations to practice free and fair trade.

The CCP also uses underhanded tactics, including economic dumping and intellectual property theft, to weaken American manufacturing and exploit American innovation. Holding the CCP accountable requires a focused, bipartisan effort to defend U.S. interests and reform our flawed trade agreements.

On Tuesday, I will attend the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing titled “Combatting the Generational Challenge of CCP Aggression.” At the hearing, my colleagues and I will begin identifying gaps in our approach to countering the Chinese Communist Party. Officials from the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Commerce will testify at the hearing.  This will be the first step toward drafting meaningful legislation to curb the CCP’s malign influence.

In the District

This past week, I had a great time traveling throughout the district and meeting with constituents. I toured the Greater Cincinnati Fusion Center. The Center coordinates public safety efforts and with health agencies throughout the Greater Cincinnati area to combat potential terrorist activity. I also toured Oak Hills High School and Three Rivers School district.

As the new Chairman of the Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance, I had the opportunity to meet with regional and statewide housing industry leaders.

Thank you for taking the time to keep up with the work I am doing on your behalf in Washington and at home in Ohio. I encourage you to stay connected with our office through my website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages. It is an honor to represent you.

Sincerely,

Warren Davidson

Bird Colonel/ Podiatrist Ohio Second District Congressman “Bronze Star Brad” Wenstrup says,

Over the past several months, I have heard from many southern Ohioans who are concerned about the disappearance and reemergence of classified documents and potentially sensitive information found at the homes of current and former presidents and government officials.

As a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), I understand that mishandling classified documents creates a risk to our national security. It is important that HPSCI is briefed on these risks. Our Committee requested that Avril Haines, the Director of National Intelligence, provide us with a classified briefing on President Biden’s inappropriate possession of classified documents. We made the same request in August concerning the Mar-a-Lago document raid. Neither request has received a response.

The law requires HPSCI to be kept “fully and currently informed” of intelligence activities, as outlined in 50 U.S.C. § 3091(a)(1) and (e.) Agencies are answerable to us; we are a government of the people, yet Congress’ requests for information and transparency have been repeatedly stonewalled. Congress created these agencies, and we fund them. We have the power to defund or withhold funding from the agencies if they do not answer to the people’s representatives.

I believe faith in the leadership of the Intelligence Communities must and can be restored, just as I believe this country needs a strong Federal law enforcement agency. However, this can only be accomplished through these agencies working transparently with Congress towards protecting this nation.

“We deserve honesty and transparency from our nation’s executives, from the law enforcement agencies like the DOJ and FBI, and from the entire Intelligence Community. We have a duty to conduct oversight of these agencies and follow the facts wherever they lead us.”

Wenstrup Joins NEWSMAX to Discuss the Fentanyl Crisis Following Our Open Border Policies

According to The Hill, the addition of Republican Reps. Chip Roy (Texas), Ralph Norman (S.C.), and Thomas Massie (Ky.) to the House Rules Committee — one of the concessions from Speaker Kevin McCarthy to the House floor

The threat of the three defecting could itself prevent Republican leadership from attempting what Massie called “creative” rules.

“There’s a few rules in the past that were a little too creative that I already expressed displeasure with before joining the committee,” Massie said. “If there was any doubt, they know where I stand on some of the shenanigans that have happened over the last 10 years.”

He mentioned a 2018 instance where a rule for the must-pass farm bill included language preventing a vote for the rest of a year on any war powers resolution limiting U.S. involvement in Yemen.

But the libertarian-conservative Massie, who has often been a lone “no” vote on floor measures, says that he does not plan to use his position on the Rules Committee to try to sway policy or final outcomes.

“I’m ready and fully prepared to vote for rules on bills that I’ll be a ‘hell no’ on the bill when it gets to the floor,” Massie said.

Meanwhile, Pelosi’s Boy Toy still hasn’t had a decent puff piece since he talked to the National Desk at WGXA in Georgia (wherever the hell that is) about his first term in Congress attempting to embellish his unstinting efforts to communicate effectively with the Dumbed-Down D-RAT voters in Greater Cincinnati’s First Congressional District, who now have an elected representative they truly deserve.

The Blower believes we’re still living during the most important period in American History for our non-stop crusade for Election Integrity and against Coordinated Leftist Insurrection and the Devolution of Our American Culture while Congress, the Deep State, and the Radical Media Establishment continue to lie to advance their Coordinated Leftist Agenda.

But first, we must see a Corleone  Political Reckoning on Election Integrity Along With Indictments And Perp Walks For Laws Broken During The Illegal 2020 Presidential Election and 2022 Mid-Term Elections, without which nothing else really matters.
