The Trumpless Forest Hills Board Of Education’s Released An “Informational Update” 
Finally Revealed (!) Is The Outcome Of One Of Their “Special Meetings.”
The Board Announced A So-Called Litigation Settlement. Which They Lost. As Usual.
The Settlement Cost $100,000 (Reported Elsewhere But Not In This “Update”). The Board Reassures We The Over-Taxed Payers That Liability Insurance Covers That Cost But It Doesn’t Reveal The Increase In Liability Insurance Premiums. Nor Does It Reveal The Legal Fees To The District’s Attorneys That This Episode Cost Each-And-Every Overtaxed Payer. Or Any Other Costs. Or The Cost Of Time That Could Have Been Better Spent On Something Else.
The Board Voted In The Meeting To Rescind The “Resolution To Create A Culture Of Kindness And Equal Opportunity For All Students And Staff”.
We Read “The Intent And Purpose Of The Resolution Were To Provide A Safe And Supportive Learning Environment For All Students. The Board Is Confident That Existing Policies And Administrative Guidelines Will Be Sufficient To Ensure The District Meets These Obligations To The Students, Student’s Parents, And The Community. The Forest Hills School District Board Of Education Is Focused On Supporting A High-Quality Educational Experience That Empowers Each Student To Achieve Personal Success.”
If We Understand This Correctly, “The Board” Is Saying That It Got Sued Over And Had To Retract A Resolution When “Existing Policies And Administrative Guidelines” Were Already “Sufficient.”
Thus, The Forest Hills School District Will Continue With The Deeply Embedded DEI Which The So-Called Resolution Attempted To Correct. Back To The Existing Policy Which By Implication Is A “Culture Of Unkindness And Unequal Opportunity”. Diversity (Not White), Equity (Not Fair), And Inclusion (Not Qualified).
Oh Well. Maybe That’s Why We Called It A “Culture Of Unkindness”
