A fellow DemocRAT posted a snapshot of Sanders apparently nodding off during a Memorial Day ceremony in the Presidio military cemetery in San Francisco on Monday. Zoe Dunning, a gay rights activist, veteran, supporter, and high-ranking member of the San Francisco DemocRAT Party, posted the photograph to Facebook, with the following message: “Attending the Memorial Day Ceremony honoring the over 1 million Americans who have lost their lives serving our country, and watching fall asleep during it. The Daily Caller says now-deceased 20-year-old Terry Frost III made the mistake of robbing a bank that had an armed, off-duty police officer inside — and loaded his gun with the wrong kind of ammunition. Frost timed his robbery perfectly Wednesday, and knew the exact moment the teller withdrew $90,000 from the ATM. Police have now released surveillance footage of the shooting. Frost pointed his weapon, wrapped in a plastic shopping bag, at the officer and it misfired. Hankerson fired twice, hitting Frost once in the chest. Whistleblower Pollster Ron Rasmussen says 44% of American Adults rate Memorial Day – celebrated today – as one of the country’s most important holidays. That’s up from 39% two years ago and down only slightly from a high of 46% in 2007 when the Iraq war was at its height. Just 4% now think Memorial Day is one of the least important holidays, while 50% rate it as somewhere in between.

CNN is getting hammered for a headline it ran Friday when it reported the wrongful death lawsuit filed by the Steinle family after their daughter, Kate Steinle, was shot and killed by an illegal immigrant in San Francisco, a so-called sanctuary city. The family alleged that the city’s policy to not deport those who have crossed our borders illegally led to her death by Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez. But CNN left a few crucial details out of its headline.
