Today’s Good News And Bad News
From Our Local Political Junkie We’ll Call “Cincy Dave”

GOOD NEWS FOR TRUMP
image049An appeals court has reversed a lower court’s decision about a new voter I.D. law in Wisconsin, so it can now go into effect.   This is expected to result in a couple of hundred thousand registered voters not being able to vote because they lack the proper I.D. – exactly what the law is intended to do.   Whether it will be enough for Trump to win Wisconsin is doubtful, but it sure won’t hurt.

BAD NEWS FOR TRUMP
Lots of new citizens, mostly Hispanic, are registering to vote, especially in the all-important state of Florida.  At least that’s what Trump’s New York buddy Bloomberg says.  In addition to new citizens, because of economic conditions, there is a big influx of Puerto Ricans to Florida, who are already citizens.  There’s no paperwork for them – all they need to do is register to vote.  Of course, not all Hispanic image046voters will vote against Trump but you can bet that the vast majority will.    There was a time when Florida’s Cuban population mostly voted for Republicans but that time has passed.   If Trump loses Florida, he has a better chance at becoming Putin’s VP than president of the U.S.

IS THE SECRET SERVICE INVESTIGATING TRUMP?
According to Redstate, and CNN they are.  It’s about his Second Amendment comment regarding Hillary.  This is another self-inflicted wound for The Donald. [MORE]

BAD NEWS FOR REINCE PRIEBUS
There’s a buzz about the RNC getting rid of Reince Priebus as chairman.   His replacement image042is supposed to be failed Hewlett-Packard CEO, failed senatorial candidate, failed presidential candidate, and failed vice-presidential candidate, Carly Fiorina.  Democrats support her bid for this new job and wish her the same kind of luck she always enjoyed.  However, to quote The Donald, “ who [in the RNC] would vote for that face?”

DUELING BONEHEAD MISTAKES?
The father of the Orlando shooter ended up on stage behind Hillary at a campaign rally.  Of course, candidates don’t personally review who gets to sit where at a rally but Trump supporters made a big deal about it.   Whoever

made the decision to allow him on the stage is an idiot.    However, Trump is not short of idiot staffers himself.   At a rally the next day, Trump decided to mention the fact about the Orlando dad at the Hillary rally.   Unfortunately, sitting right behind him was the pedophile former congressman, Mark Foley.   Now, some people would say… that Trump supports pedophiles, but we don’t see it that way.  We just think he supports hiring idiots to run his campaign events. MACY’S WILL CLOSE 100 STORES
A company spokesman denied that the huge downturn in business had anything to do with the company carrying Donald and Ivanka Trump’s lines of clothing that is all made in China and other third-world image023countries.  Spokesman John Barron said, “Believe me, they were tremendous lines of clothing and although they didn’t sell as well as we hoped, we thought they were the best, the greatest ever, just tremendous – believe me.” [MORE]

BAD NEWS FOR HILLARY?
Yesterday, The Donald accused Obama of founding ISIS and Hillary of being its co-founder.   ISIS was founded in 1999, so everyone checked their calendars to see what they were doing in 1999.   Obama was teaching school in Chicago and preparing to lose a primary election for the U.S. House of Representatives to Bobby Rush, (who is still in office), which was supposed to end his political career.  Hillary was serving tea and cookies at the White House, as a good little first lady should have been doing.   Somehow, they got together that image032year and founded ISIS in order to destroy America.   Believe me folks, that’s exactly what happened.

HERE ARE TODAY’S MEANINGLESS POLLS
Trump had better be hoping that the new Wisconsin Voter I.D. law can disenfranchise at least 9% of Democratic voters.   Well, actually it’s going to take 21 percent of them (9/42) to get him even.   That’s a tall order for any voter I.D. law.   As for Kansas, they apparently haven’t had enough of that trickle-down economics that has ruined the state’s economy under Governor Brownback.  image005
