And The Countdown Now Stands At 895 Days
Buckeye Bureau Chief Gerry Manders says whether anybody has “officially announced” he’s running to replace term-limited Lame Duck Governor John Kasich in 2018, it certainly looks like the race is on, especially after Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWhine inadvertently confirmed he was unofficially running and the supposedly confidential conversation was overheard by a reporter from the Dayton Daily News.
Since then, DeWhiner has talked tough about Obama’s bathroom BS, claiming he’d “vigorously fight” the Obama administration over its rules ordering schools to allow transsexual students to use bathrooms and locker rooms consistent with their chosen sexual identity. He wasn’t actually joining in the lawsuit with 11 Real Republican AGs, but if it was campaign rhetoric you were looking for, a “vigorous fight” is what you would get.
Ohio TEA Party Guy Tom Zawistowski, President of the We the People Convention, said “We congratulate Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWhine for showing the leadership and courage to stand up not only for the rule of law, but also for common decency, by protecting the rights of millions of Ohio’s women and young girls to have privacy, not only in bathrooms, but in showers and locker rooms. As the AG points out, there is no legal authority behind this ruling. As usual this has nothing to do with fictitious “transgender rights” just like supposed “gay marriage” had nothing to do with gays who want to get married. This pathetic ploy by the regressive anti-American leftist in the Obama Administration is nothing less than an open attack on American culture and values. We thank AG DeWhine for his action today and hope that he will join Ohio with the other 11 States in suing the Federal Government in the coming days and we encourage any school that feels that it must comply with this illegal ruling to contact the Attorneys General office to get legal representation.”
Buckeye Secretary of State Jon Husted also showed his Conservative Colors when the state of Ohio filed a federal court appeal on Thursday after U.S. District Judge Michael Watson in Columbus ruled on Tuesday that Ohio supposedly violated voters’ rights by reducing the period that ballots could be cast before an election to four weeks from five weeks. The so-called “Rising Star” petitioned the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to review Watson’s decision, which he said scrapped a court-approved settlement the state previously reached with the ACLU and NAACP on early voting. Let’s hope that case isn’t assigned to Disgraceful DemocRAT Judge Timothy Black.
Ohio Lieutenant Governess Mary Taylor is also running to replace Kasich, saying why not, since she’s been doing that job ever since ever since our Delusional Governor began his joke presidential campaign.
