And A Lump Of Coal For Our Congressman

Obama as Santa Claus with Lumps of Coal for GrinchesAt this afternoon’s meeting of the Conservative Agenda, Political Insiders were asking Beloved Whistleblower Publisher Charles Foster Kane about that scathing e-mail to Clermont County Republican Party Chairman David Uible about that Omnibus Bill Ohio Second District Congressman/Podiatrist “Bronze Star Brad” Wenstrup voted for.

Subject: Omnibus Bill & Our “Representative”
David,

I am so disgusted with the Republican party and our “representative” I cannot speak for fear of uttering a stream of profanities. (Fortunately my fingers are working fine.)  I cannot fathom the way the members of the party have abandoned the principles they claim to hold and are dancing to the tune called by Obama and the big donors.  Our “representative” voted with the majority in congress to give the president and the Democrats almost everything they wanted in the omnibus bill passed last Friday.  The most disturbing thing is the fact that our “representative” told us to pound sand by his vote.  Like his predecessor, he could have hidden his lack of respect for his constituents by voting against the bill.  The vote total was so overwhelming his vote had no bearing on it’s passage.  Instead, as he has done so many times in the past, he ignored our cries to hold to common sense conservative values and do what is right for his constituents and the nation.  He voted to grow government even larger, more oppressive, and more dangerous.

Our “representative” has claimed to be pro-life, yet he voted to continue funding the abortion factories of Planned Parenthood.  He is on the intelligence committee and knows of the dangers we face from Islamists, yet he voted for the funds that give Obama the ability to flood us with more Muslim Syrian “refugees.”  Let’s be clear, these aren’t refugees.  Refugees flee an area in trouble with the intent of returning after the problems have been resolved.  These are being granted permanent residence status meaning they are here forever with their warped views of religion and law.  These are just the most egregious items contained in the omnibus bill that was so favorable to the Democrats they are figuratively spiking the football.  The bill also fully funds Obamacare and Obama’s unconstitutional executive order on amnesty.

Mark 8:36 says, “ For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”  That is a hazard of becoming a member of congress and working inside that den of iniquity.  The question Glenn Beck asks all of the politicians is, “How is your soul?”  I contend our “representative” has lost his to the deadly sin of pride.  If you were listening to his remarks at the endorsement meeting he made that clear.  He is on the veterans committee and the intelligence committee.  That is code for I am too important to remove from office or do as you peasants ask.  That also means he has compromised his values and principles to achieve power.  He has listened to the siren call that if he would just compromise on this one item he can get a position to do something better.  That is how the adversary works, play to your ego and convince you that this one little transgression is OK, after all it will permit you to do something much more important.  Once you compromise your values the first time, you are under the power of those who convinced you to do so.  I can guarantee you that I am not one that can be manipulated by flattery and promises of glory.  I am far too skeptical and unimpressed by me to fall for that.

I was disappointed in the results of the endorsement meeting.  I had no expectations that I would get the endorsement.  I had hoped there were enough members that are liberty minded and paying attention to the performance of our “representative” that we would deny him the endorsement as we had done his predecessor four years ago.  I am well aware of my shortcomings and have long ago made peace with my past.  I have changed considerably over the past two decades as I have tried to follow my Savior since being baptized and joining the church 15 years ago.  I struggle daily trying to do what Jesus would have me do and overcome the bad habits I developed over the previous fifty years.  I am not a politician, and I know I am not a charismatic person with a great personality that lights up the room when I enter.  Nonetheless, I have proven over my career that I am a man of principle with the ability to achieve results and to be outspoken in defense of those values.  You and most of the members of the central committee have witnessed my outspoken and passionate support of our freedom and liberty granted us by our Maker, and secured for us by the brave patriots who pledged their lives, fortune, and sacred honor.

I apologize for making false claims during my speech at the endorsement meeting.  I found out afterward that my facts were outdated.  Three whole people have actually been fired from the VA for their roles in the appointment scandal that rocked the VA last year.  The $2 million in performance bonuses passed out in the VA despite the scandal was also in error.  The $2 million was for just one hospital, the entire amount of performance bonuses passed out in 2014 was $142 million.  I doubt our “representative” will admit to the false claim he made during the same meeting, as I have heard him make that same claim made multiple times.  Despite his claims that no one opposed Boehner for speaker, there were three people opposing Boehner: Ted Yoho, Daniel Webster, and Louie Gohmert. Had he said no one officially opposed Boehner in November right after the election, that quibble is true.  After Boehner rammed through the Cromnibus bill in December, the three mentioned above all officially became candidates for speaker.  Support for any of those candidates, as requested by many of our “representative‘s” informed constituents, could have ended Boehner’s reign in January.  Our “representative” then voted for more of the same by supporting Paul Ryan for speaker this fall.  As we have seen, Ryan is little more than Boehner Jr.  His feeble excuse when passing the offensive omnibus bill Friday was he was making the best of the hand he was dealt.  That hand consists of supposed conservative Republicans who were born without a spine, and who are afraid of doing the job they were elected to do for fear of losing favor with the media and Democrats.

As I have often stated, I have no great need nor burning desire to be elected.  It would be considerably easier to let someone else do it while I struggle trying to help my grandchildren stay on the right path to become productive citizens.  Unfortunately, no one else has stepped forward, and our current “representative” has become part of the problem.  I felt called to serve my country again last year and brushed it off as just a crazy idea.  After witnessing one wrong vote and stance after another by our “representative,” I had second thoughts.  It was only after serious discussions with my wonderful and supportive wife and lots of time on my knees in prayer, I decided this was something I needed to do.  I may well be tilting at windmills, but I can’t in good conscience ignore the need to offer my services.

I am not interested in a long career in congress.  Jane will retire in four years, and we plan on serving at least one mission for our church.  I will serve no more than two or three terms in order to start the fight to restore our liberty and freedoms from the oppressive federal government.  That will give us time to find a Thomas Massie to replace me.  I would request that you and other members of the central committee ignore the results of the endorsement meeting and work to elect me to replace our “representative” who does not represent the values and desires of those he is supposed to represent.

I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year

image019KANE EXPLAINED: Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it. Apparently Bronze Star Brad has forgotten who brought him to the altar of Congress. Just like Mean Jean Schmidt turned her back on her constituents and started listening more to the power brokers in Washington, Brad seems to have forgotten that his constituents have no use for the establishment and the agenda of Obama. This is why he has a challenge in the primary and yesterday his TEA Party opponent Jim Lewis sent an e-mail reminding the Clermont County Central Committee of all of Brad’s sins. His real motive is to have the committee reconsider their endorsement of Brad in the upcoming primary election. Many people may not be aware that when the TEA Party took over control of the committee, they changed the endorsement policy. One of the changes was that the endorsement could be revoked for bad behavior. Party Chairman Dave Uible says he relies on members not reading what they vote for just like Nancy Pelosi in order to keep control. Many committee members believe Brad continuing to vote with leadership and the establishment constitutes bad behavior that should earn him a trip to the woodshed. Others want to yank his endorsement and see him go the way of Jean Schmidt. The Blower says tomorrow it probably won’t be the merriest of Christmases for “Bronze Star Brad.”image013image001
