Local Legal Strategy Questioned

image004Attorneys everywhere thought it was stupid earlier this week when Baltimore officials reached a $6.4 million wrongful death settlement with the family of Freddie Gray, the 25-year-old man who died in April from a neck injury he suffered in police custody? They decided to make that paltry political payout without any determination of liability, without a lawsuit, and without considering that Freddie Gray reportedly had a history of “crash for cash scams.”

image006The Blower imagines those bewildered barristers must’ve been thinking much the same thing as soon as they heard that the esteemed legal counsel at the University of Cincinnati had permitted a press conference to take place where UC officials discussed that damaging “independent report” on the Sam DuBose killing, invited all their critics, the greedy attorneys guys suing the university on behalf of Sam DuBose’s even greedier relatives, and the mendacious media exploiting the situation, just to announce the victim’s death had been “Entirely Preventable.”

image006image006That must’ve been exactly the phrase our Feckless Fishwrappers were seeking to use for their headline on Saturday’s big front-page story, to creating even more Racial Division in Cincinnati during Obama’s Summer of Racial Violence, because of DuBose’s “family-minded, fun-loving father” image The Liberal Agenda Fishwrap is trying so hard to project.

image006The only thing missing on that “independent report” was Hamilton County Prosecutor “JayWalking Joe” Deters’ signature. The Blower’s surprised the university did also announce it was changing the name of newly $86-million-renovated Nippert Stadium to DuBose Stadium during halftime at tonight’s televised game.

Ironically, ex-Officer Tensing’s defense might also argue DuBose’s Death was “Entirely Preventable.”

image006image007Trial-Watching Troublemaker Tino Delgato says that “independent report” might’ve also shown that a drug dealer and out-of-wedlock baby maker was taken off the streets. His illegitimate 13 kids will share in the civil suit not to mention unbelievable government entitlements. There may be more “family” coming out of the wood work for this suit. The great mystery to some is why Dubose fled the scene. He had $2,600 in cash and a decent amount (>pound) of marijuana. IF he stayed he maybe gets a reprimand for no front license plate. He did not have his driver’s license and told officer Tensing he was driving his wife’s car. We later find out he has a fiancé to boot. Maybe her car has a front license plate. This tragedy was avoidable for sure. All DuBose had to do was NOT try to escape. Go Figure!!!

image006Meanwhile, Jeffrey Blackwell may not have been seen since Cincinnati City Mangler “Baltimore Harry” Black humiliated him at Wednesday’s City Clown-cil meeting, but Award Winning Photo Illustrator Artis Conception shows us Cincinnati’s Affirmative Action ex-Police Chief pursuing employing opportunities out of town.
