Are You Beginning to Feel Safer Yet?
Barack Obama, Warrior President was leading from behind at this week’s NATO Conference in Wales when British Prime Minister David Cameron called for a multi-national coalition to carry out military action against the Islamic State militant group, formerly known as ISIS. Meanwhile, Obama’s Clueless Secretary of State John Kerry claims Obama is “Totally Committed” to Stopping ISIS and is taking a “Holistic Approach” with “Kinetic” Action, whatever the hell that means. Back home the nation awaits Obama’s appearance as Chuck Todd’s first guest on his inaugural broadcast of NBC’s “Meet The Press,” and Award Winning Photo Illustrator Artis Conception shows us Obama in his super-hero “Warrior Outfit.”

- HURLEY THE HISTORIAN says security for the NATO event was especially tight this week, since on this date in 1901, President William McKinley was shot shaking hands at the Pan-American Exhibition in Buffalo, and died eight days later.
- MAYBE THAT’S WHY OUR QUOTE FOR TODAY COMMITTEE chose Ronald Reagan’s “Please tell me you’re all Republicans” comment to the surgeons who were about to operate on him after the assassination attempt on March 30, 1981.
News Closer to Home
- THE BIG NEWS IN CINCINNATI THIS WEEKEND was whether celebrities chosen to lead the Chicken Dance at Oktoberfest would be any gayer than Star Trek’s Mr. Sulu last year.
Probably not, since Nick and Drew Lachey were announced as the festival’s grand marshals on Friday, as a reward for opening a crappy sports bar in Over-the-Rhine along the Trolley Folly Route and letting the A&E Network film them doing it.
- Health inspection violations at Mahogany’s at the Banks in July were the same as in January. No sanitizers in the dish washer, food not kept at the proper temp etc. Owner Liz Rogers says, “Not to worry, we didn’t have any customers so there was no chance of people getting sick.”

- MEANWHILE, WLW HATE RADIO DRAFT-DODGING TRASH-TALKER BILL CUNNINGHAM claims his “reliable sources” are telling him some members of city council want to forgive Liz Rogers’ big loan and give her $100,000 in additional money to pay off rent, unemployment taxes, etc.
- CH SNITCH AT 1000 MAIN STREET says Hamilton County Prosecutor “JayWalking Joe” Deters thought Judge Tracie Hunter’s trial in Judge Nadel’s courtroom wouldn’t be lively enough, so he announced the Dingbat DemocRAT’s rulings had resulted in two deaths, in case his special prosecutor buddies Merlyn Shiverdecker and R. Scott Croswell III forgot to mention it. What a report— KimBall Perry even got the name of the street wrong where one of the killings had occurred.
- BUCKEYE BUREAU CHIEF GERRY MANDERS says according to Campus Reform, Ohio University’s president accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and called on the student senate president to participate as well. Megan Marzec, a senior at OU, dumped a bucket of fake blood on her head, calling for the university to divest from Israel, saying the “blood” represents “thousands of displaced and murdered Palestinians.” How stupid was that? Cincinnati Reds Broadcaster Thom Brennaman says when he attended Ohio University, nobody did anything that stupid, and he was president of the Beta Kappa Chapter of Beta Theta Pi fraternity, so he outta know.
- REPUBLICANS FOR HIGHER TAXES commented on the lawsuit against Northwest Schools for allegedly expelling four black students because of their race. They believe they have uncovered a key document proving these allegations.
- BLUEGRASS BUREAU CHIEF KEN CAMBOO says on Wednesday, there was a gathering in Boondoggle County at the Triple Crown Country Club featuring Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, and James Comer in their effort to help raise funds to flip the Kentucky House away from the DemocRATS and Spender-of-the-House Stumbo. The host was the superpac Amerigop and they had a wide array of attendees, all three judge defectives plus Knochleman, plenty of state senators, and rep-tiles, plus a few candidates.
The CamBoozler reports that the special reception for big donors was raided by free-loader Nutsy Rogers and his band of “merry” men, IBANK’s Kevin “I don’t think I have a criminal record” Gordon (he is also COACH Coleman’s treasurer), Steve “Milkman” Trauth, and Charlie “COACH and Library Hater” Coleman. We also have learned that Campbell Commissioner Brian “Give Me a Handout” Painter was there competing for the most muffins consumed during speech time.
Plus, The Blower has uncovered a report from the Campbell County FOP meeting that Charlie “COACH” Coleman was seeking an endorsement and promising hazardous duty pay/retirement to jail employees at a cost of $500,000. We’ll be watching this race and his actions as we have never seen a supposed Republican platform like this….WTF, COACH? - FINALLY, AT YESTERDAY’S MEETING OF THE CONSERVATIVE AGENDA, Political Insiders were asking Beloved Whistleblower Publisher Charles Foster Kane about all the confusion Barack Obama, Warrior President is stirring up over his Silly ISIS Strategy. “It’s just what Obama wanted,” Kane explained. “It’ll be weeks before anybody in the press can get back to covering Amnesty, the IRS, or any of Obama’s other scandals.”
Remember: We never print all the bad stuff we know and certain people ought to be damn glad we don’t, especially Charlie “COACH” Coleman.

“Political Advance Work” By James Jay Schifrin
This week our Patronage County Commissioners were talking about all the planning that goes into getting ready for a visit from their local Congressman.
“Did you see where Hereditary Patronage County Party Boss Peter Principal called?” asked Commissioner Filch. “Word is, he’s bringing Congressman Windsock by for another meaningless photo-op.”
“I hope he doesn’t expect Patronage County Sheriff Buford Flogg to provide a motorcycle escort like last time,” interrupted Commissioner Swindle. “And the VFW says providing an honor guard just because our Congressman is a veteran is getting old, too.”
“I’ll make sure everybody on City Council is invited,” offered Commissioner Pilfer. “You know how the former mayor always gets his panties in a big wad whenever he’s left off the list.”
“But the most important thing is press coverage,” explained Commissioner Swindle.
“Then for sure we don’t want to invite Muck Raker, the political columnist for the Patronage County Innuendo. That guy’s an honest reporter and asks embarrassing questions,” added Commissioner Filch.
“But Raker always brings along his camera. We’re going to need pictures of this thing,” said Commissioner Pilfer.
“Not to worry,” assured Commissioner Swindle. “Lackeys in Windsock’s office always carry their cell phones, and the Congressman loves taking selfies for his Facebook page.”
This op-ed column never appeared at any time in the feisty Mt. Washington Press personally edited by eminently renowned publisher Dennis Nichols.
