TEA Party Patriots, Please Take Note

image005Can you believe Weeper of the House John Boehner actually got a standing ovation Wednesday night as Republican lawmakers lined up to sign their complete-and-abject-surrender to Obama one more time, voting for a pork-laden bill that included nothing Conservatives had been demanding?

What a pathetic bunch of losers! They gave away the whole store, including granting Obama nearly unlimited power by throwing away The House’s Power of the Purse the next time he wants to raise America’s Debt Limit on February 7, all to avoid being criticized by an arrogant and lazy media that the American people finally figured out only repeats the White House Talking Points day after day after day.

Hurley the Historian says since the deck of the U.S.S. Missouri in Tokyo Bay in 1945 has there been such a total surrender.

Now Let’s Meet Today’s Guest Editor:

image007It’s Revered Former Six-Term Ohio Congressman Bob McEwen, our Anderson resident who’s busy these days motivating audiences around the world with his inspirational speeches about how America could be on the right track these days, if only all those Dumbed-Down, Self-Absorbed, Media-Influenced, Celebrity-Obsessed, Politically-Correct, Uninformed, Short-Attention-Span, Free-Stuff Grabbing, Low-Information Obama Followers in All Fifty-Seven States hadn’t doomed this once great nation to the next 1,190 days of the Dark Ages of America’s Dark Ages during Obama’s Second Term (unless he’s impeached).

That’s why The Blower, which takes pride in recognizing Inspiring American Conservatives, is pleased to permit The Honorable Bob McEwen as our guest editor to choose three items plus a quickie for today’s E-dition from our Current Cadre of Conservative Columnists and Contributors.

STORMING THE BARRICADES IN WASHINGTON by The Anonymous BureaucRAT

image009I have worked in the government on and off for 40 years. During that time I became quite familiar with requisitions, bidding, awarding contracts etc.  It is a time consuming process with bean-counters and pencil-necked bureaucRATS every step of the way.  The simplest request takes months not days or hours.

In less than eight hours of the shutdown, miraculously, professionally printed 3X4 foot signs appeared all over the country in the tens of thousands saying-“this [park, facility, etc. with custom logos] closed due to government shutdown.  There has not been a government shutdown in 17 years. These signs were designed, specifications were determined, signs were then requisitioned, bids were posted and vetted, and government contracts were awarded to produce those signs.  The materials were then ordered and the signs manufactured, and then distributed by the U.S. Postal Service or private freight companies.

This shutdown was orchestrated and planned well in advance at least 6-8 month ago and not by congress.  Millions of tax dollars were appropriated and spent in this process.  There is a paper trail a mile long leading directly to the White House.

People do not realize just what we are dealing with!

WE TOLD YOU SO By Marvin Mocker

image011Californians Cindy Vinson and Tom Waschura were big ObamaCare believers. They vote independent and were proud to say they helped elect and re-elect President Barack Hussein Obama.

Yet, like many other Bay Area residents who pay for their own medical insurance, they were floored last week when they opened their bills: Their policies were being replaced with pricier plans that conform to all the requirements of the new health care law.

Vinson, of San Jose, will pay $1,800 more a year for an individual policy, while Waschura, of Portola Valley, will cough up almost $10,000 more for insurance for his family of four.

Said Ms. Vinson, “Of course, I wanted people to have health care. I just didn’t realize I would be the one who was going to pay for it personally.”

“Welcome to the club,” said Robert Laszewksi, a prominent health care consultant and president of Health Policy and Strategy Associates in Virginia. “ObamaCare is “Affordable” only to some. Others are getting their wake-up call.”

ANOTHER LETTER THE FISHWRAP PROBABLY WON’T PUBLISH by Retired Cleveland Pain Dealer Newshawk Turned Bellwether Blogger Bill Sloat

image012I am writing to rail at the folly of loopy politicians who cannot comprehend that putting our nation on the brink of financial default is like standing on the side of a volcano while it smokes and rumbles before erupting.  Some of the characters are in our own backyard.  We have a Senator from Kentucky – a professed libertarian named Rand Paul – who is a master of anti-government rhetoric.  Yet his hometown gets its electricity from the Tennessee Valley Authority, a federal utility that sells cheap power created by a government monopoly.  He has made no serious effort to pull the switch that would commercialize the TVA.  I guess socialism is bad except when it delivers electricity at bargain prices.

Others fly back and forth to their districts on airliners whose routes are watched and guided by government (FAA) controllers.  They have faith that these federal employees can help get them safely to their destinations.  Members of this loopy political class listen, bow down and accept their marching orders from extremist radio talk show hosts whose words reach them on frequencies monitored by the Federal Communications Commission.  Yet they all know that without the FCC, the radio waves would be hopelessly jumbled.  Even a big mouth like Rush Limbaugh would be reduced to static white noise.  And we have the Palin gang, so mentally feeble they don’t seem to recognize that Alaska was purchased from the Russians with U.S. Treasury dollars.  You betcha, you could not see Siberia from your yard if the federal government didn’t buy that land.

The current events unfolding in Washington have put on display the phony political pretensions, the cheap ironies, the errant sentiments and reckless faith in ideology that can result in economic catastrophe.  The politicians, particularly those on the right at this moment, speak lies yet believe the headlines when the lies are printed or circulated by the electronic media.  They are denizens of the Great Cliché Swamp.  They croak like toads.  Their chorus is corroding our institutions.  We should not be blind to the lasting harms. Rather than listening to the toads, we should dedicate ourselves to draining the swamp.

AND A QUICKIE by Our Good Friend Bobby Leach

image014I just received my Shutdown Survival kit from the White House and thought I should share the good news with you.  I hope yours arrives tomorrow… It contains a parachute, an “Obama Hope & Change” bumper sticker, a “Bush’s Fault” yard sign, a “Blame Boehner” poster, a “Tax the Rich” banner, an application for unemployment, an application for food stamps, a prayer rug, a letter of assignment of debt to my grandchildren, and if that was not enough, there was a discount coupon for a machine that blows smoke up my ass. Everything was “Made in China” and all directions are in Spanish. Keep an eye out. Yours should arrive soon.

Whistleblower Web Poll

image019This week, here’s why the first 17,648 Whistleblower Readers Poll respondents said all those Republicans in Congress voted to surrender to Obama on raising the Debt Ceiling one more time:
(A) Greed and Self Interest: 2%
(B) No Term Limits: 1%
(C) So Liberals in the Media won’t criticize them: 1%
(D) They believe Voters won’t remember: 96%

Elections Dejections

image024This week, everybody who’s really tired of watching all those campaign commercials on TV, e-mailed an entry to the Whistleblower Limerick Contest.

The winner is noted political pundit J. L. Jaundice, who says he thought if you voted early, you wouldn’t have to watch all those crappy political ads anymore.

J. L. wins an Official Whistleblower Election Night Scorecard to tally the Republican Ruin in Hamilton County on November 5, 38 absentee ballots for him to fill out with different names so he can participate in some good-natured Early Voter Fraud, and instead of one of those crappy “I Voted Stickers” at his polling place, an “I Told You So” Button to wear on November 6.

It’s less than three more weeks till Elections
And voters will lose their erections
When they see just how bad.
Are the candidates we had
They’ll wish there’d been better selections.

It’s less than three more weeks till elections
(In Japan, they would call that “erections”)
I can’t help being stimulated,
For all year I’ve waited,
To change our political directions.

And from the Anderson Laureate (who says if this doesn’t result in the restoration of his poetic license, he might have to file a complaint with the ARPLUBP (Americans for Restoration of Poetic License for Unfortunately Bad Poets):

It’s less than three more weeks till elections
And no matter what your selections
Because the plain fact is
They’ll still raise your taxes
So the government can increase its collections.

The first line of next week’s limerick is:
“When the media takes a news poll”
