This Sunday in America…

But first Kane told this little story in the Columbus Dispatch about a Domino’s pizza driver who was brought to tears two weeks ago after receiving a huge surprise while delivering a pizza to a church in Pickerington, Ohio. The driver, who identified herself as Natasha, was brought on stage in front of an October 4 gathering at Sycamore Creek Church to deliver the $5.99 pizza.

That’s when the Reverend Steve Markle, lead pastor, asked her the biggest tip she’d ever received. About $10, she answered. He gave her $15, then told her: “We’ve been teaching our church this last month about being generous, and so we did something special for you today. We took up a special offering for a tip for you.” Church members at three services had collected $1,046 to present to the driver.

As Markle pulled out the thick stack of bills, the driver gasped, covered her mouth and broke into tears. She embraced him and said “Thank you so much.” As the crowd cheered, she put her hand over her heart. It was all caught on video.

“I hope that this can help you,” Markle said. “I don’t know what’s going on in your life.” “It can help a lot,” she replied. “Thank you so much. Thank you everybody.” The congregation, which draws about 500 to 600 people each week, was wrapping up a sermon series on “I was Broke. Now I’m Not” and a monthly missions emphasis on “Random Acts of Kindness.”

Bless them All!
