AND WE SEE THE “APOCALYPTIC TRUTH” ABOUT THE MAY 02 VERY BIG TAX LEVY

The Apocalypse has received notice of a “special meeting” of the Forest Hills School board on March 27. It is specified that “The Board will enter executive session for the purpose of meeting with Board Legal Counsel to discuss disputes involving the Board and/or the School District that are the subject of pending or imminent court action.”

We’ll put this in non-apocalyptic jargon. They will be talking about the lawsuit against them over non-payment to a building project contractor about to come to trial. There is a good chance that the district will be put on the hook for millions of dollars at the end of this litigation.

If there wasn’t this huge judgment facing the district would they still need to add to our property taxes with their Really Big May Tax Levy? If all the other lawsuit judgments and legal fees were added up, would the district finances have remained healthy? Would the school district still be facing eminent state intervention?

Given all the lawsuits over entrenched district mismanagement, why should voters approve the massive levy the board is asking for?

Approval of the levy is implicit approval of maintaining the management status quo, as sorry as it has been. Isn’t that a stupid thing for voters to do?

Shouldn’t voters demand the district demonstrate a return to good management practices first? No doubt the levy ask, if there even needed to be one, would be a lot more reasonable.

But no. Young misinformed parents are thrown into the front lines of the levy campaign. Ardent, zealous, and blinded by their ignorance of the school district’s non-performing status quo. Not only spreading the misinformation being handed them but mindlessly working for the reward of having their own taxes increased and their own children increasingly miseducated.

What a sight to see! The greedy school district greedily climbed over those bodies to grab their cash from another money pile misappropriated by the dumbed-down over-taxed payers.The Apocalyptic Truth Is Marching On. Glory Hallelujah!
