President Donald Trump honored US service members who made the ultimate sacrifice when he visited Arlington National Cemetery in recognition of Memorial Day this morning, saying he’d come to the “sacred soil” of Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day to honor “the lives and deeds of America’s greatest heroes.”

Trump also sent out several tweets on Memorial Day morning, including:

We didn’t see a lot of news and pictures showing how Obama and his Government in exile were celebrating Memorial Day 2018. Maybe he was playing golf.

Meanwhile, really patriotic Memorial Day events have been held all over America this weekend, not the least of which was the Annual Memorial Day Bell Ringing Ceremony at the Anderson Center, where patriotic Andersonians remember four years ago when Darryl Parks gave his Reaganesque tribute to PFC James Miller IV for whom the Memorial Highway was designated on Beechmont Avenue.

The 22-year-old Anderson High School Graduate died on January 30, 2005 while serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. PFC Miller was guarding a polling station in Iraq when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle in Ramadi, Iraq.
