Federal Judge Extends Block On Ohio Law Defunding Planned Parenthood
Last Monday in our “Contagious At The Courthouse” E-dition, The Blower said former Hamilton County Republican Party Chairman, Judge Michael Ryan Barrett, who normally has things well in hand, temporarily stopped the Ohio Department of Health from stripping more than $1 million from the Baby Killers at Planned Parenthood, by enjoining the laws enacted by a duly elected state legislature and signed by the duly elected governor from going into effect.
Barrett was congratulated by Disingenuous DemocRAT Judge Mr$. $tan Che$ley, who cost over-taxed payers a ton of money after she extended an election for three hours for no good reason, just because some Dumbed-Down DemocRAT didn’t leave time enough to get to his precinct polling place, and Judge Susan figured he deserved to be treated differently from every other voter in the state.
Barrett also was congratulated by Discredited DemocRAT Judge Timothy Black, already infamous for his “Same Sex Sex” Ruling, signed that stay order keeping Ditzy DemocRAT Juvie Judge Tracie Hunter out of the slammer, by preventing a state judge from imposing a sentence on a jury conviction approved by the Court of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court.
Today, the Cleveland Pain Dealer said that same Republican federal judge Michael Ryan Barrett who used to be the Hamilton County Republican Party Chairman had extended his order that the state not defund the Baby Killers at Planned Parenthood until at least August, lengthening his block on a new state law by two months. In the meantime, Barrett will hear arguments in his Cincinnati courtroom over whether the temporary restraining order that keeps the defunding law from taking effect should be made permanent. Responding to Barrett’s ruling, Katie Franklin, Director of Communications for Ohio Right to Life, issued the following statement:
“Despite the will of Ohio voters, an un-elected judge just halted our democratically enacted, constitutional law by another two months, endangering the conscience rights of pro-life taxpayers. The conscience rights of all Ohioans, including pro-life Ohioans, stand above the whims of any judge. Our conscience rights matter. By preventing the enactment of this legislation, the judge is sending the opposite signal to half of Ohio’s voters. Today’s decision shows that even in a pro-life state with pro-life voters and pro-life leaders, Planned Parenthood wields might and influence over the laws that govern us.”
And The Blower used to think being a Federal Judge meant never having to say you’re sorry. Judge Barrett, we understand, is now hoping he’ll be assigned the Gorillas Lives Matter Appeal when it finally arrives at Federal Court.
