Heck of a Job, Barry!

Obama’s Disorder on the Border continues, and this week, spurred into action by an angry federal judge, federal immigration authorities will be going door-to-door demanding illegal immigrants return the three-year amnesty approvals the Obama administration issued to them in defiance of a court order. Do you think some of the things Leading Republican 2016 Presidential Candidate Donald Trump is saying about Obama’s Immigration Clusterfuck and giving Sanctuary to Mexican Murderers are having some small effect?

Now Let’s Meet Today’s Guest Editor:

        The Donald asked us if he could be our Guest Editor again (repeating his June 19 Appearance) because so far he’s made the most effective presidential campaign statements on immigration, but no governor in the country has more first-hand experience with the federal government’s long-time failure to secure the border than former Texas Governor Perry, shown wearing his new Roy Orbison glasses. Whether it’s drug, human and weapons trafficking, or an influx of unaccompanied minors, the challenges associated with securing the border are complex, and addressing them requires a multifaceted approach. When Washington failed to act, Governor Perry stepped in, surging state law enforcement and deploying the Texas National Guard to the region, which led to a 74% reduction in apprehensions in the area of operations.

That’s why The Blower, which takes pride in rewarding anybody who spearheaded measures to address some of the consequences of an unsecured border (including requiring state agencies and contractors to use e-Verify, strengthening anti-gang initiatives in the border region, and increasing penalties for human traffickers) to be this week’s guest editor and choose three items plus a Quickie for today’s E-dition from our Current Cadre of Conservative Columnists and Contributors, and our Quote for Today Committee chose Rick Perry’s “Obama’s refusal to visit his own Border Crisis is no different than the criticism President George W.           Isn’t that what the whole immigration issue is about? Business doesn’t want to pay a decent wage. Consumers don’t want expensive produce. Government will tell you Americans don’t want the jobs. But the bottom line is cheap labor. The phrase “cheap labor” is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as “Cheap Labor.”

Take, for example, an illegal immigrant with a wife and five children.

He takes a job for $5-6-per-hour. At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an “earned income credit” of up to $3,200 free. He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent. He qualifies for food stamps. He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care. His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school. He requires bilingual teachers and books. He qualifies for relief from high energy bills. If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI. Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare. All of this is at (our) over-taxed payers’ expense.

He doesn’t worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowner’s insurance. Over-taxed payers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins, and printed material. He and his family receive the equivalent of $20-30 per hour in benefits. Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00 /hour left after paying their bills and his. The American over-taxed payers also pay for increased crime, graffiti, and trash clean-up. Best of all, he votes for Disingenuous DemocRATS who promise him more free stuff.

          Cheap labor? YEAH, RIGHT!  Wake up people! 

“FOOLS FOR SCHOOLS, SCHOOLS FOR FOOLS,” by a California School Teacher

As you listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of:

I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at a large southern California high school which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that its students average lower socioeconomic and income levels. Most of the schools you are hearing about, where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.

Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program. When I say “free breakfast,” I’m not talking about a glass of milk and a roll — but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make a Marriott proud. Even though the food is free, and supposedly these kids don’t get breakfast or lunch at home, most of the kids do not eat all that they are given. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten.

I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones. The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids.

I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; my budget was already substantial. I ended up buying new computers for the computer learning center, half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America.

I have had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less than three months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them “Putas” (whores) and throwing things,  that the teachers were in tears.

Free medical, free education, free food, day care, etc., etc, etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled to not only be in this country but to demand rights, privileges and entitlements?

To those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and housekeeper, and they like to pay less for tomatoes: You should try spending some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs.

Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc, etc. For me, I’ll pay more for tomatoes.

Americans, we need to wake up.  The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won’t have the guts to enforce it.

Does anyone in their right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and return?

It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by the age of 15 and that refuses to assimilate, and an American culture that has become so weak and worried about  “political correctness”  that we don’t have the will to do anything about it.

         All dictators know that telling “Big Lies” is an effective propaganda technique to sway public opinion. Today advocates of amnesty for illegal aliens and mass immigration, specifically “progressive” DemocRATS who want more voters and unscrupulous business interests desirous of cheap labor, are using that technique with abandon. The following are some of the Big Lies they tell.

Big Lie 1: The Obama Administration has conducted “record deportations” of illegal aliens.

The Truth: The administration has dishonestly inflated deportation numbers. Genuine deportations (i.e., illegal aliens removed from the interior of the U.S. and sent home) have significantly declined under Obama. The administration has been forced to admit that the claim of “record deportations” isn’t true. But Obama supporters and their friendly media still repeat this falsehood, over and over, for the purpose of justifying even fewer deportations.

Big Lie 2: The Obama Administration immigration policy is upholding the law by concentrating resources to deport dangerous criminal aliens.

The Truth: From the beginning Obama has systematically sabotaged immigration law enforcement, as revealed by the union that represents Immigration and Customs Enforcement employees. Basically, Obama limits enforcement to small selected groups of illegal aliens and gives the rest a free pass to stay here. By his own unilateral decree, he has provided legal status and work permits to illegal aliens in the “Dream Act” category. He previously admitted he didn’t have the legal authority to do so. Now, if the House of Representatives refuses to pass a mass amnesty, supporters of amnesty are urging Obama to decree more legalization of illegal residents.

Big Lie 3: The number of illegal aliens in this country is so huge, it would be impossible to round them all up and deport them without huge cost, social disruption, and harsh enforcement. Therefore, we have no choice but to let them stay.

The Truth: This is a false dichotomy. A third option, and an effective one, avoids both these extremes. Called “attrition through enforcement,” it consists of simply enforcing our immigration laws on a firm and consistent basis. In this situation, most illegal aliens, fearing apprehension and unable to get jobs, will eventually go home on their own.

Big Lie 4: We need to allow illegal aliens to stay in the U.S. because they do jobs Americans won’t do.

The Truth: Native-born Americans are the majority of workers in every line of work, with only a few exceptions, such as agriculture. Illegal aliens in those fields compete with them and deny employment to millions of unemployed Americans. Less than five percent of illegal aliens in the U.S. work on farms. Thus, more than 95 percent could go home with no effect on agriculture. Guest worker programs and mechanization can meet our agricultural needs.

Big Lie 5: Republicans and conservatives should support amnesty and mass immigration because immigrants (legal and illegal) are “natural conservatives.”

The Truth: Most immigrants in recent years have come from Latin America. They and following generations tend to be more liberal than the general population on political, economic, and social issues. Prominent DemocRAT strategist Robert Creamer says that amnesty and immigration are the keys to dominance for liberal DemocRATS. Continued mass immigration, legal and illegal, dooms conservatism and the Republican Party.

 A Liberal’s paradise would be a place where everybody has guaranteed employment, free comprehensive healthcare, free education, free food, free housing, free clothing, free utilities, (and let’s not forget FREE DAYCARE) and only law enforcement has guns.

And believe it or not, such a place does indeed already exist: It’s called Prison.”

This week, everybody who remembers the safe return of the Apollo 11 Spacecraft 46 years ago, e-mailed an entry to the Whistleblower Limerick Contest.

The winner is a boyhood Neil Armstrong’s next-door neighbor, Mr. Gorsky, whom the first moonwalker recalled during his historic lunar landing.

Mr. Gorsky wins an official photograph of Obama from his photo-op with Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin in the Oval Office on July 20, 2009 to commemorate their historic landing; a White House Video of Obama’s speech where he claimed to be in Hawaii during the moonwalk when his own biography says he was really living in Indonesia at the time, and an official White House clarification concerning Obama’s account of being in Hawaii during the event.

Not since Bill Clinton got caught lying about watching black churches being torched in Arkansas when none ever caught on fire has a presidential memory been discredited so quickly. No wonder our Quote for the Day Committee chose Abraham Lincoln’s: “No man has a good enough memory to be a successful liar.”
