What In The Wide, Wide World of Political Correctness Is Going On Here?
HURLEY THE HISTORIAN really has his hands full today, trying to stage a Historically Accurate live reenactment on Anderson Community TV of the largest military conflict in North American history that began on this date in 1863 today, when Union and Confederate forces collided at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The epic battle lasted three days and resulted in a retreat to Virginia by Robert E. Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia. It was in all the history books students used to read about in schools, until all that Ridiculous Revisionism infected America’s education system.
This year Obama and Liberal Activists in the Press say all Civil War Reenactments must not include Confederate Flags, and the History Channel has already removed it from its coverage of today’s events, and visitors to Gettysburg Military Park will no longer be able to buy Confederate Flag Items in the bookstore.
Battle Flags were important during Civil War times to help commanders keep track of their soldiers during the melees. Not being able to tell which soldiers were his would’ve made it very confusing for the Generals, not to mention the soldiers fighting and dying.
Also declared “offensive” by Liberal Social Warriors with too much time on their hands were those racist “grey” Rebel uniforms, and this year, soldiers for both the North and the South would have to wear the same rainbow colored uniforms, so transgender gay Union soldiers would feel included.
A Free Republic contributor says “The growing crescendo of outrage over Confederate flags, a flawed American legacy and maligned monuments isn’t about hate or even racism for their embodiments exist in all facets of our society. No, this entire orchestrated cultural purge isn’t about addressing justice or protecting our fragile future from enduring embers of animosity. Otherwise, everyone would simply be held to the same standard of accountability and the results would speak for themselves: end of syndicated story. This casting call for immediate retribution is, however, unequivocally about shoving and reshaping America into a progressive mold of mass conformity: a soulless, dependent, unarmed, uninformed, unpatriotic populace of color-coded privilege and mindless futility.”

Yesterday’s Whistleblower Video of the Day showed Stupid Americans signing a petition to ban the American Flag, when Media analyst Mark Dice told beachgoers in San Diego to sign a petition to replace the current one because it was “offensive” to some immigrants and is associated with imperialism and racism. Today we see Black civil rights icon and former Mayor of Atlanta Andrew Young explaining that debate over the Confederate flag is a divisive non-issue which completely distracts from the real problem – the fact that 93% of blacks are killed by other blacks.
Young is widely recognized as a prominent activist for the African-American civil rights movement, having been a personal friend and supporter of Martin Luther King. Young marched with King in Selma, Alabama and was with King when he was assassinated. He was also instrumental in pushing through the 1964 Civil Rights Act and 1965 Voting Rights Act.
