Which During the Age of Obama Was No BFD

Hurley the Historian remembers when Obama Supporters in the Press celebrated a “National Moment” at 2:40 PM last year on today’s date when Obama and senior advisers observed a meaningless closed-press moment of silence in the Oval Office to commemorate the April 15, 2013 terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon. ABC News aired a special report from 2:35 to 2:55 p.m. George Stephanopoulos anchored from New York but was joined by a ABC News Consultant Ray Kelly live from Boston. Scott Pelley broadcast live from Boston for “the Moment of Silence” and anchored the CBS Evening News from Boston. Meanwhile, Fox’s Bill Hemmer reported from Boston when the 118th Boston Marathon was run on that Monday.

Obama’s Doofus Vice President Joe Biden even told Boston Marathon Bombing Survivors “It was worth it.”

This year, Marathoners will again run the historic 26.2-mile course, while friends, family, and the people of this iconic city line the streets to cheer them on where three people died and over 200 were injured when a pair of bombs went off within 12 seconds of each other at the finish line, except if you’re a member of the jury that just convicted Dzhokhar Tsarnaev of the bombings last week. That’s what federal Judge George A. O’Toole told jurors Tuesday, stressing the importance of avoiding anything that could be prejudicial during the trial’s sentencing phase to determine whether that sentences the Murdering Muslim Bastard to death. That little legal proceeding begins on April 21, a day after this year’s edition of the landmark race on the third Monday in April, which this year unfortunately falls on Hitler’s Birthday.

Because the memory of that heinous and senseless act will not shy runners or spectators from celebrating this annual sporting event that welcomes participants from all over the world. We will all stand in remembrance of the beautiful people who lost their lives and those who were gravely injured in the tragedy. In pain we found love. We grieved together and chose friendship over hate. We honor the brave men and women who tirelessly worked in the days after the bombings. This short video is dedicated to the great city of Boston and its people, and especially to the victims Martin Richard, Krystle Campbell and Lingzi Lu, as well as to MIT Police Officer Sean Collier who died in the line of duty. They messed with the wrong city. We choose to be Boston Strong and next Monday, WE WILL RUN.
