UN Sides With Hamas Terrorists
Israeli Correspondent Yitzhak Tadwell says the so-called United Nations Human Rights Council launched an inquiry via an international committee into alleged war crimes that may have been committed by Israel in the most recent round of Gaza fighting. 22 member states voted in favor of the inquiry.
“The decision today by the HRC is a travesty and should be rejected by decent people everywhere,” said Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Office stated in reply, “rather than investigate Hamas, which is committing a double war crime by firing rockets at Israeli civilians while hiding behind Palestinian civilians, the HRC calls for an investigation of Israel, which has gone to unprecedented lengths to keep Palestinian civilians out of harm’s way, including by dropping leaflets, making phone calls and sending text messages. The HRC should be launching an investigation into Hamas’s decision to turn hospitals into military command centers, use schools as weapons depots, and place missile batteries next to playgrounds, private homes and mosques.”
Now Let’s Meet Today’s Guest Editor:
Why, it’s none other than Israeli Justice Minister Tzipi Livini, who said, “I have four words to say about the decision of the UN human rights council – ‘SEE IF I CARE!”
Whistleblower Language Expert Berlitz Tadwell translates the rest of Tzipi’s message: “We will keep on making decisions for the safety of Israeli citizens according to our moral compass, the IDF will fight the terror and keep on doing the most to avoid harming innocents, and you [written plural] will keep on encouraging the terror – because that is exactly what your decision is doing.”
Tzipi Livni served as a lieutenant in the elite Mossad unit of the Israel Defense Forces responsible for Operation Wrath of God (also known as Bayonet) in the 1980s. [She resigned from the IDF in August 1983 to marry and finish her law studies, and our Quote for Today Committee chose Ms. Livini’s: “The Palestinians will have to commit to dismantle the terror organizations, collect illegal arms and carry out security reforms, … Israel will keep the major settlement blocks, and Jerusalem will remain unified.”
That’s why The Blower was honored to choose the Feisty Israeli Justice Minister to be this week’s guest editor and choose three Middle East Updates plus some Gaza-Israel One Liners for today’s E-dition from our Current Cadre of Conservative Columnists and Contributors.
- “ROCKETS FOUND AT U.N. SCHOOL IN GAZA HAVE GONE MISSING”…from The Times of Israel
The UN secretary-general on Wednesday said he was “alarmed” to hear that rockets were placed in a UN-run school in Gaza and now “have gone missing,” and he demanded a full review of such incidents.
A statement by the spokesman for Ban Ki-moon expressed the UN chief’s “outrage and regret” at the placement of weapons at a site run by the global organization. The UN says that has happened at least twice so far in the current fighting.
“Those responsible are turning schools into potential military targets, and endangering the lives of innocent children,” UN staff and anyone seeking shelter, the statement said.
The rockets had been placed at one of the schools run by the UN refugee agency for Palestinians, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in Gaza.
- “LURCH GETS NO RESPECT” from CBS News/CBSDC/AP
Secretary of State John Kerry defied a Federal Aviation Administration ban and flew into Israel’s main airport Wednesday in a sign of sheer will to achieve a cease-fire agreement in the warring Gaza Strip despite little evidence of progress in ongoing negotiations aimed at halting fighting that’s left at least 31 Israelis and 650 Palestinians dead.
Kerry’s arrival in Israel came as Israeli troops battled Hamas militants near a southern Gaza Strip town as dozens of Palestinian families trapped by the fighting scrambled to flee the area.
Kerry flew to Tel Aviv from Cairo, where he met Tuesday with Egypt’s president and other high-level officials.
An unusual screening process occurred involving Kerry and his State Department team as they were subjected to a metal detector before meeting with President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi at the Egyptian presidential palace.
ALSO FROM THE FREE BEACON: Kerry took a break in Jerusalem Wednesday from his attempt to broker a cease-fire between Hamas and Israel when Obama’s Clueless Secretary of State showed ge could be even dumber than Joe Biden while he visited with the parents of Max Steinberg, a 24-year-old Los Angeles native and IDF soldier who was killed in action in Gaza. “How’s your day?” Kerry asked the mother of a Fallen Israeli Soldier. “How’s your day?” Evie [Steinberg’s mother] asked back. “My day’s going better than yours.”
- “TED CRUZ SLAMS OBAMA FOR USING FAA TO LAUNCH ‘ECONOMIC BOYCOTT” OF ISRAEL,’ from Roll Call
The Federal Aviation Administration on Wednesday extended its prohibition on U.S. flights to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport for up to an additional 24 hours, following the ban it announced Tuesday.
The FAA announcement drew immediate criticism from Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who said in statement, “President Obama has just used a federal regulatory agency to launch an economic boycott on Israel, in order to try to force our ally to comply with his foreign-policy demands.”
The Texas Republican, a potential contender for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, said that tourism is an $11 billion industry for Israel.
“This FAA flight ban may well represent a crippling blow to a key economic sector [in Israel] through both security concerns and worries that additional bans will down more flights and strand more passengers,” Cruz said. “It hardly matters if or when the ban is lifted. At this point, the damage may already be done.”
He asked, “If the FAA’s decision was based on airline safety, why was Israel singled out, when flights are still permitted into Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Yemen?”

GAZA ISRAEL ONE-LINERS
What makes the Holy Land so holey? All the Bombs, bullets and missiles.
If the Palestinians really wanted to make peace with Israel, they would start by making peace with each other.
Nothing would say there is peace between Israelis and Palestinians like a giant Wal*Mart straddling both sides of the Green Line.
There can be no complete peace between Arabs and Israel as long as they both sell spicy food and whiny music in the Middle East.
And… All people in the Holy Land, Jews, Muslims and Christians, all believe that God is on their side, even though at least most of them are wrong.
These items are perfect to forward to all of your Internet Buddies and Facebook Friends with too much time on their hands.
