Looking Back in Angst

At yesterday’s meeting of the Conservative Agenda, Beloved Whistleblower Publisher Charles Foster Kane was doing his best to cheer up all those depressed Political Insiders who were bemoaning the state of the our country’s culture for next 1,182 days of the America’s Dark Ages during Obama’s Second Term (unless he’s impeached).

Then Kane recalled how energized and excited Conservatives were last year with only ten more days until Election Day when The Blower published its award-winning “Obama Campaigning from Behind” E-dition, and we said “Now we have an Underdog who ate a dog!”  Would you believe some people actually thought Romney was going to win?” Because there was no way all those Dumbed-Down, Self-Absorbed, Media-Influenced, Celebrity-Obsessed, Politically-Correct, Uninformed, Short-Attention-Span, Free-Stuff Grabbing, Low-Information Obama Followers in All Fifty-Seven States could be so stupid as to be fooled into voting for him again in 2012 like they were in 2008.

And because our Idiom Investigator says “Seeing is Believing,” maybe we need to fire up the old Wayback Machine to take a look at what was really going on ten days before the election last year.  PLEASE NOTE LAST YEAR’S DATE.
