Happy National Prayer Day, Everybody!
- LET US PRAY: Whistleblower Religious Editor Fielding Mellish says today is the 62nd Annual National Day of Prayer, and with still another 1,358 more days of Obama’s Immoral administrator before us, the entire nation certainly have something to pray about, especially those Dumbed-Down, Self-Absorbed, Media-Influenced, Celebrity-Obsessed, Politically-Correct, Uninformed, Short-Attention-Span Voters who re-elected him.
- THAT’S WHY OUR QUOTE FOR TODAY COMMITTEE chose the words of Mary Washington, mother of our nation’s first president: “Remember that God is our only sure trust.”
- HURLEY THE HISTORIAN says two year years ago on this date there was a spontaneous gathering on Fountain Square at noon to celebrate the Death of Osama bin Laden. Our good friend Bill Sloat’s son (USAF pilot) and thousands of others had joined and served to do what was right, and to right the great wrong. Bill said he’d be at the square at noon waving a U.S. flag and singing the Star Spangled Banner and was inviting others to join him.
Our young men and women had sent Osama bin Laden to answer to God. We should’ve rejoiced, then prayed for peace. At that point, 5,493 service people had been killed, thousands more had been wounded. We should’ve remembered the 9/11 victims and all that chaos and destruction. It was truly an historic day. Justice had been served. And for a brief moment during the Dark Ages of the Obama Administration, America was united, unlike today after the recent Boston Massacre, where Obama did everything wrong before and after the atrocity:
Especially since we just found out the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia sent a written warning about accused Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2012, long before pressure-cooker blasts killed three and injured hundreds.
The War on Terror Is Not Over. Islam Is Not a Peaceful Religion. Racial Profiling Works. And Political Correctness Kills.
[NOW CHECK OUT THESE GRUESOME PICTURES COURTESY OF THOSE PEACEFUL MUSLIMS]
- NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum formally opened to the public Wednesday, and Tammy Bruce says, “There’s only one president in this picture, and it’s not Obama. This picture says it all, doesn’t it? The difference between Bush and Obama is made clear… This picture of First Lieutenant Melissa Stockwell (who led the Pledge of Allegiance at the Dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Center on April 25, 2013) illustrates that strength of Bush’s and the complete void of decency in Obama. Check out the look on the Jerk’s face, he’s deeply uncomfortable, as though he’d rather be somewhere else.”
- OTHER THINGS TO PRAY FOR IN OBAMA’S AMERICA:
Congressman Trey Gowdy says eyewitnesses will testify next week at the Benghazi Hearing.
Even Disingenuous DemocRATS admit ObamaCare is an impending Train Wreck.
The FDA approved of morning-after birth control pill for over-the-counter sale to teenagers, age 15 and up.
Gun maker Sturm Ruger credited Dems’ gun control efforts with pushing sales to a record high.
In Washington, Obama still can’t stop gushing over NBA Wizards’ gay center Jason Collins. Jay Leno says, “Finally an NBA player who won’t have any illegitimate kids.” Meanwhile, D.C. DemocRATS want to force NFL’s Redskins to change “Racist Name” to the “Redtails.” And at the same time, Redskins Quarterback Robert Griffin III is blasting the “Tyranny of Political Correctness.”
ADP reported Wednesday that private companies created just 119,000 new positions in April. That was well below expectations and confirmation that the labor market is slowing heading into late spring and early summer. No wonder Whistleblower Pollster Ron Rasmussen says only 31% think the U.S. Economy will be stronger a year from now.
- IN COLUMBUS: Buckeye Bureau Chief Gerry Manders says the Ohio legislature has a bill that would allow college students, who live in the state for 30 days, to vote and then pay in-state tuition. The bill would cost the state’s 14 four-year universities $370 million a year. The liberal students could help pass levies, attend college at reduced rates, and then move on without ever paying taxes.
Also in Ohio, TEA Party Guy Tom Zawistowski sent out a new TEA Party Study showing the TEA Party makes up half of Republicans. Maybe the State Central Committee should’ve elected Tom Co-Party Boss along with Tax Scofflaw Matt Borges last week, since Current Ohio Republican Party Boss Boob Bennett just released a statement commemorating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, saying, “The Asian American, South Asian, and Pacific Islander community have made countless contributions to our country and the great state of Ohio.” WTF was that all about?
- SHAM STREETCAR HEARINGS: And what did people think about DemocRAT Mayoral candidate Foxy Roxy Qualls’ “Streetcar Named Stupid” hearing Monday night? The City Manager didn’t have a clue about how cost overruns were to be paid. Tuesday’s recommendations were to steal money from other projects and programs along with raising taxes, and the project cost of the Trolley Folly Boondoggle had spiked up to $180 million, a mere $45 million per mile. Sounds like a great idea for one of Mallory’s silly sitcom scripts when he leaves office early so Foxy Roxy can run as an incumbent.
- OUR COMPASSIONATE CONSERVATIVE says Channel 9 “Substantially True” News showed pictures of two Mt. Healthy girls who were not allowed in their prom because they showed up in $350 slut dresses. Someone needs to check to see if they are receiving food stamps, free lunches, welfare, and get those dresses off those girls before they get pregnant and start the cycle over again. If they can come up with $350 for a dress they can buy their own damn school lunches.
- AT THE ANDERSON GOVERNMENT CENTER: Last night it was hard to tell if they were saying prayers for the Anderson Township Republican Club (Including Newtown and Mt. Washington), or was Hamilton County RINO Party Boss Alex T., Mall Cop GOP just conducting a séance to try to contact the living, since prayers had still not been answered for $tate Rep-tile for $ale Peter $tautberg to keep his promise to help them get rid of Disgraceful Township Trustees like Kevin “Big Spanky” O’Brien and people were praying that voters might actually find out about the Forrest Gump School District’s stealth tax increase on the May 7 ballot. People prayed last year’s Tax Hike was going to hold them off the ballots for 4-5 years, and you saw what happened there.
And would you look at all the fine young ladies who actually attended the Young Republican Women of Cincinnati meeting Tuesday night? Organizers of the extensively advertised event were obviously praying for a larger audience.
- IN NORTHERN KENTUCKY: Bluegrass Bureau Chief Kern CamBoo says May 2 is always “Brothers and Sisters Day.” No kidding. It’s a day you’re supposed to cherish your siblings, even if you’ve disowned them. Our Good Friend Bobby Leach says people in Kentucky always inappropriately touch their relatives on Thanksgiving, since it’s a good day to pump kin.
- OTHER SOREHEADS IN THE SUBURBS: NoTaxJack sent us a link to a new post on Overmanwarrior’s Wisdom (“Lebanon Schools Goes to Court: Shhhhhhh, they are trying to pass another tax levy. And in Beavercreek, John Mitchel says Giambrone and the rest of City Council want us to believe the City Income Tax does not affect our 401k’s, 403b’s and other retirement plans. Nothing could be further from the truth; just ask Albert Einstein, who some say believed “compound interest or time-value-of-money (TVM) is the most powerful force in the universe.”
- FINALLY, AT YESTERDAY’S MEETING OF THE CONSERVATIVE AGENDA: Political Insiders were asking Beloved Whistleblower Publisher Charles Foster Kane what atheists were supposed to do on National Prayer Day today. “Maybe they could call the Dial-a-Prayer for Non-Believers,” Kane explained, “You call up and it rings and rings but nobody answers.”
