Bluegrass Baubles
- Bluegrass Bureau Chief Ken CamBoo is hoping one of his Independence snitches can snap a picture of NoKY’s most infamous sex-ed teacher, Nicole Howell’s left ring finger and send it in to The Blower! Rumor has it that the Eric “Call Me Crazy” Deters, who’s impending divorce isn’t even filed, much less final, may have purchased her a little “promise” ring. If anyone has evidence that will confirm or deny this dirty little rumor, The Blower wants to hear from you!
And on Friday, August 13, 2010, The Blower published this item:
Bluegrass Betrothals
- Bluegrass Bureau Chief Ken CamBoo says several people have e-mailed what they claimed were of NoKY’s most infamous sex-ed teacher Nicole Howell’s “promise ring,” given to her by Eric “Call Me Crazy” Deters, whose impending divorce isn’t even filed, much less final. But let’s face it; pictures of just a ring on somebody’s hand are nowhere near conclusive evidence.
Attorney Eric C. Deters must’ve been offended, because on Friday, August 30, 2010, he sued us in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court (Case Number A-1007974).
On October 27, 2011, after nearly fourteen months of intense litigation, Attorney Eric C. Deters has finally dismissed his lawsuit with prejudice. (Notice of Voluntary Dismissal Here)
So now, in accordance with settlement terms prepared by ACLU National General Counsel, acting as our attorney, The Whistleblower (long a champion of Free Speech, the First Amendment, and Fair Play), is pleased to publish Attorney Eric C. Deters’ unedited response sent to our Counsel on October 25, 2011.
The Unedited Response of Attorney Eric C. Deters
I remember receiving the “Whistleblower” by fax every day when I was a young lawyer and involved in politics. I laughed. When I received the nickname “Call Me Crazy”, I laughed. I embraced this name. Somewhere along the line, I believe the “Whistleblower” became a little too mean. I laughed less and simply stopped getting it. When I read the column about me getting divorced (I’m not. I wasn’t.) and giving Nicole Howell a “promise ring”, well, I went “crazy.” I only read it because I received a few calls about it. I wish no one ever called me. So, I sued. This column is the settlement of the lawsuit. I made my point. Judge Robert Winkler, who overruled the Motion to Dismiss filed by the “Whistleblower” wanted us to resolve it. There’s no money involved.
Let’s face it. People who hate you are going to hate you. People who love you are going to love you. The haters are going to pound you, but the fans aren’t going to care. In my entire very public Kentucky Bar Association battle, including the press, blogs and this publication, I never lost a single client. I thought as I wrote this, hell they will make fun of what I write here no matter what I write.
So, for all you haters, keep hating. For all you fans, thank you. I enjoy life. I plan on continuing enjoying life. I have a great one.
And since I still have, and will continue to have all three of my law licenses: Kentucky, Ohio and Florida, if you need a lawyer email me at eric @ericdeters.com, text to (859) 250-2527, or call (859) BULLDOG. Also, tune into my radio show on RealTalk 1160 A.M. from 7-9 a.m. Monday thru Friday. I’m willing to be the official radio show of the “Whistleblower” and Jim Schiffrin can call in every Friday for a weekly report? If you ever want to know what’s true or not about me written here, just text, call or email and I will tell you. I don’t hide anything and I don’t post under fake names.
My best to all the “Whistleblower” readers,
Eric “Call Me Crazy, Big Mouth, Most Sanctioned, Ambulance Chaser, No Count of a Radio Host, Shameless Self Promoter, Willie Wannabe, Why Haven’t I Been Disbarred, Who Likes Bulldogs and Failed Roadhouse Operator” Deters
