Something Else Historical Happened On Monday’s Date
Did the Disingenuous DemocRAT National Committee really adopt a resolution expressing its support for the #BlackLivesDon’tMeanCrap movement on the anniversary of the date Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his “I Have A Dream Speech?” And will the DNC now be endorsing those Racial Terrorists’ latest lunacy that says white people must pay for their inherent sin of being white by adhering to a 10-point list of demands, which includes small gestures like giving up your home and leaving your property to a minority family when you die?

For Dumbed-Down DemocRATS, August 28 has always been a fine day for disapproving demonstrations. Hurley the Historian remembers they had a little protest on that day in 1968 at the DemocRAT National Convention in Chicago, when tens of thousands of Vietnam War protesters battled police in the streets, while the DemocRAT Party fell apart over an internal disagreement concerning its stance on Vietnam. Over the course of 24 hours, the predominant American line of thought on the Cold War with the Soviet Union was shattered.

Compared to the rather limited AntiFa DemocRAT Demonstrations providing entertainment on 24-hour cable news stations these days, back in 1968, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley was forced to deploy 12,000 police officers and called in another 15,000 state and federal officers to contain the protesters. The situation then rapidly spiraled out of control, with the policemen severely beating and gassing the demonstrators, as well as newsmen and doctors who had come to help. That ensuing riot, known as the “Battle of Michigan Avenue,” was caught on television, and sparked a large-scale change in American society. For the first time, many Americans came out in virulent opposition to the Vietnam War, which they had begun to feel was pointless and wrongheaded. No longer would people give the national government unrestrained power to pursue its Cold War policies at the expense of the safety of U.S. citizens.

Hurley the Historian says Beloved Whistleblower Publisher Charles Foster Kane’s high-school and college chum Jerry Rubin helped organize that little protest at the DemocRAT National Convention in Chicago.

“Jerry was really a dweeb in high school,” Kane remembered. “He always wore those silly-looking “white bucks” shoes and never showed up with a girl at any of the dances. Even Nick Nadel had a date sometimes.”
