— Tonight’s Syrian Missile Attack Update —
The Blower will not be making any jokes tonight, especially after President Trump announced a coordinated missile attack on Syria by a Coalition of the Willing (the United States, Britain, and France).
The Defense Department said that U.S., British, and French forces had struck three Syrian facilities that officials believe played a key role in Syria’s ability to research, produce, and store chemical weapons.
Defense Secretary “Mad Dog” Mattis and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Joseph Dunford said the Friday night strike was much broader than the attack Trump ordered last year, which only targeted one facility. They said hitting multiple sites should mean the “long-term degradation” of Syria’s chemical weapons capabilities. The officials also said tonight’s attacks were over by the time they briefed the press.
Tonight was no time for playing politics, although you’d never know it listening to the same kind of questions and political punditry at tonight’s Pentagon Press briefing that the Destroy Trump Media asks every day at the White House.
The Blower can only hope with America’s military in harm’s way, that we will all unite behind them, our country, our flag, their mission, and their commander-in-chief. But don’t count on it.
