Today’s Good News And Bad News
From Our Local Political Junkie We’ll Call “Cincy Dave”

BAD NEWS FOR TRUMP
image009A new Democrat megadonor has emerged, handing out cash to stop Trump. It is 32-year-old Dustin Moskovitz, cofounder of Facebook, who is worth $12.7 Billion. Democrats have long wished they had an answer to Republican Billionaires like Sheldon Adelson and the Koch brothers, and they are hoping he will be it. So far, he has dumped in $35 Million for this election and they are hoping he will stick around for future elections. Hillary may want to reconsider her opposition to the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision that allowed unlimited money into elections. It ain’t nearly so bad as long as you’re getting your share of it.

TRUMP DENIES POLLING NOSEDIVE
Trump is winning with men but 20 points behind with women, according to the polls. He insists that the polls are inaccurate. In image011most people’s opinion, he is whistling past the graveyard. However, his campaign co-manager, Kellyanne Conway admitted on the Sunday News shows that they are behind but said it isn’t over yet. Meanwhile, The Donald continues his claim that the election is rigged against him. How that can be true is a hard to understand because most of the swing states are Republican controlled, and of course the election process is also under their control.

Today, Trump admitted that he is behind and said that “I think we’re gonna have — whether it’s Brexit or beyond Brexit, I think we’re gonna have a Brexit situation,” Trump told Bo Thompson of WBT’s “Charlotte’s Morning News,” referring to the British referendum in which voters decided to leave the European Union. “You know, that one was behind in the polls, and I guess I’m somewhat behind in the polls but not by much. I mean, in your state, I’m 1 point, 2 points and even in three polls. 1 point, 2 points image013and even.” According to RealClearPolitics, though, Clinton leads by margins from 1 point to 4 points in six recent surveys. She leads Trump by an average of 2.5 percentage points in its average of North Carolina polls. Earlier Monday, Trump told his nearly 13 million Twitter followers that he’s winning the election, even citing a Rasmussen national poll in which he leads by 2 percentage points, 43 percent to 41 percent, as evidence. Few regular political observers give Rasmussen much credibility though, because they are considered a Republican house pollster, with usually a 2 percentage or more Republican bias, not unlike Fox News. However, even the latest Fox News poll has Trump down 6 points nationally.

MORE BAD NEWS FOR TRUMP
Wayne Allyn Root says he is betting big on Trump to win. Root image014claims to be an oddsmaker (but he doesn’t seem to make any odds) and is noted for guaranteeing a landslide Romney victory in 2012, so who’s to say he doesn’t know what he is talking about? He once ran a scam where he claimed to be able to predict the outcome of sporting events too, but he was only about as good at that as the average chimpanzee would be. In spite of his lack of success in predicting anything (he claims otherwise) he still seems to be able to gain the trust of Fox News and their followers. It’s probably just a case of him touting himself as a expert and telling them what they want to hear. If you want to have a good chuckle, read his “logic” on why Obama was going to lose the 2012 election in a landslide. Go Here:

Now for Root’s logic on why he is betting on Trump this year: Go here:

We think that if Root is betting big on Trump, it is with other people’s money. Our advice to gamblers – Root’s claim is the kiss of death, – don’t bet the farm.image004

TODAY’S STATE POLLS
Hillary has maintained a small but steady lead in Florida polls for a while. Why anyone would bother to poll Oklahoma is a mystery. Obama didn’t win a single county in the Sooner State in either 2008 or 2012 and we don’t expect that Hillary could do much better, as this poll attests. Needless to say, neither party will waste any time or money campaigning there.image006
