Among the non-food freebies, Great Clips is giving anyone who gets a haircut on November 11 a card that a veteran or active-duty military service member can later use for a free haircut; We’e not sure if Meineke  offers free oil changes with military ID on Veterans Day; or if Veterans can have their fatigues starched at Andy Pappas’ Cleaner Concepts; but at Yellowstone and every other National Park, admission is free for everyone on November 11, but you still have to pay for your membership to the Anderson Dog Park on Kellogg Avenue.

image005Only in The Blower are people able to read about how local Veterans can also pig out on Veterans Day Eve at the Patriot Center, 6660 Clough Pike, where the Anderson Township Veterans Memorial Committee will be providing a complimentary dinner, cash bar and live entertainment by Vocalpaooza, a multi-genre musical extravaganza, whatever the hell that is. Dinner will be provided by Belterra and Dessert will be donated by Mt. Washington Care Center.

image005In all cases, Veterans should be sure to bring your ID with your proof of status as a current or former member of the military. This would include your DD-214 Form, Dog Tags, Sharpshooters Medals, shot records, and if the Trumpster hasn’t rescinded Obama’s executive order, Gay Veterans will be able to give each other short-arm inspections in restrooms at any of the above restaurants.image003image001
