This Morning, While Everybody Hereabouts Is Waiting For The Destroy Trump Media’s Next Hit Piece From The News Liars At The Washington Post, Our Conservative Cartoonists Continue Their Caustic Commentary.

MONDAY CARTOONS

Thomas Patterson, Harvard’s Bradlee Professor of Government and the Press, opened his study of “News Coverage of Donald Trump’s First 100 Days” by noting not only that President Trump was the topic of more than 40 percent of all news stories during his first 100 days (three times the amount of press coverage received by previous presidents), but also that the coverage he received “set … a new standard for unfavorable press coverage of a president.”  This study did not evaluate the work of editorial cartoonists but my recent trips to editorial cartoons seems to suggest a similar level of bias – – though, sometimes due to the actions of the President himself it can be difficult to decide which cartons go where in these weekday distributions.

Draining the swamp may be delayed after President Trump’s tumultuous two weeks that ended in the appointment of a special counsel to investigate Russia.
