Tonight’s Really Big Story
AS THE BLOWER PREDICTED EARLIER, LIBERALS ACCUSING MELANIA TRUMP OF PLAGIARISM WOULD BE THE BIG STORY OF THE DAYimage005 - Copy

And what a surprise. We only saw 4,842 stories and videos on the internet today, all accusing Melania Trump of PLAGIARISM.image003

FIVE MORE PLAGIARIZED SPEECH STORIES WON’T SEE ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE FISHWRAP INCLUDE
#1 MICHELLE OBAMA COPIED ALINSKY IN SPEECH MELANIA TRUMP ALLEGEDLY PLAGIARIZEDimage006 - Copy

In 2008, the aspiring First Lady was accused by bloggers of lifting lines for her DNC speech from Saul Alinsky. Alinsky wrote, in Rules for Radicals (emphasis added): “The standards of judgment must be rooted in the whys and wherefores of life as it is lived, the world as it is, not our wished-for fantasy of the world as it should be.” Michelle Obama said: “And Barack stood up that day, and he spoke words that have stayed with me ever since. He talked about ‘the world as it is‘ and ‘the world as it should be.’” (Perhaps it was Mr. Obama who left out the attribution.)[MORE]image003

#2 OBAMA STOLE: “DON’T TELL ME WORDS DON’T MATTER.”
As then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) surpassed Hillary Clinton in the DemocRAT primary, largely on the strength of his oratory, Clinton said that Obama’s record was “just words.” Obama responded in a speech whose refrain was lifted from then-Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick. The Obama campaign did not even bother to refute the claim. Instead, it circulated examples of lines that it said Clinton herself had borrowed from Obama. The left media defended Obama, saying that he had not committed plagiarism, but merely, at worst, “poor footnoting.”

#3 HILLARY PILFERED “NO BANK CAN BE TOO BIG TO FAIL, NO EXECUTIVE TOO POWERFUL TO JAIL.”image007 - Copy

After the Obama campaign accused Clinton of stealing lines in 2008 — a claim supplemented by The New Republic, which accused her of stealing lines from then-Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) — she ought to have learned her lesson. But in 2016, she stole lines from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who responded by telling NBC News’ Meet the Press, jokingly: “We’re looking into the copyright issues here.” Clinton was accused of lifting other lines, too — and Sanders supporters responded on Twitter with the wry hashtag: #StealtheBern.image003

#4 JOE BIDEN FILCHED “MY ANCESTORS WHO WORKED IN THE COAL MINES…”.image008 - Copy

Biden was found to have borrowed heavily from the oratory — and the biography — of British Labour Party leader Neal Kinnock, without attribution. In addition, it was discovered he had committed plagiarism while in law school. The scandal helped bring down Biden’s presidential campaign in 1988 — though Biden’s angry outburst at a reporter — “I think I probably have a much higher IQ than you do, I suspect” — didn’t help, either.image003

AND #5, JOHN F. KENNEDY RIPPED OFF “ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU”

Earlier today The Blower said surely all those Obama and Hillary Supporters in the Press must’ve forgotten how JFK stole what was to become the best-known quote of his 1961 inaugural address – from his old headmaster? It became one of the most famous political speeches in history, but JFK enraged his former classmates by plagiarizing the line “ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country,” which they had heard “time and time again” in a similar form at school.image003

MEDIA MENDACITY
NEWT GINGRICH RIPS ‘DISGUSTING’ MEDIA TREATMENT OF MELANIA TRUMP

image009

The Washington Examiner says former House Speaker Newt Gingrich accused the media of applying a double standard with the accusations of plagiarism in Melania Trump’s convention speech. “It is the most disgusting example of the news media’s desperation to smear somebody who had a home run, bases loaded, amazing speech,” Gingrich told the Washington Examiner. Gingrich argued similar charges brought against Democrat politicians have not received similar treatment, saying the media wasn’t “upset” when it was reported that President Obama lifted lines from then-Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick. Going on to call the attacks against Melania Trump “made up” and “disgustingly stupid,” Gingrich said it’s the media’s attempt to keep attention away from what he viewed as an effective and intelligent speech.
