It’s The Delegates, Stupid!

image004COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA: Noted South Carolina Political Reporter Gamecock Tadwell says with Donald Trump’s decisive victory in New Hampshire and no strong runner-up among a pack of also-rans, the Republican race barreled into South Carolina yesterday with everybody wondering if any alternative candidate can gain enough support to threaten Trump’s drive to the nomination.

image005The next GOP presidential debate is set for Saturday, February 13 in Greenville, South Carolina on CBS and will likely feature either a five-or-six-candidate field. Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, John Kasich and Jeb Bush have already qualified by virtue of their finishes in the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary. Ben Carson has a chance to qualify because of his standing in national and South Carolina polling averages.

This morning, here’s what the GOP 2016 Delegate Count looks like after Iowa and New Hampshire:image003

image005Ohio Governor John Kasich, who took Sloppy Seconds in New Hampshire with less than half the support of Donald Trump, arrived in this more conservative Southern state where he has little staff or support. Now here comes the really good news for Kasich and his clueless cheerleaders at The Fishwrap:

South Carolina is a “Winner Take All” State, all 50 delegates will go to The Winner, and this may be as close to Trump in delegates as Kasich ever gets.

And you thought New Hampshire was “Do Or Die” for Kasich.image003image010
