Official “Columbus Day” E-dition

MONDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2013

Hello, Columbus!

Hurley the Historian says according to the PC Police, Columbus Day is a great time for all Hate-America-First Liberal Bed-wetters overcome with White Guilt to accuse the man credited with discovering our continent with Grand Theft, Genocide, Racism, Initiating the Destruction of a Culture, Rape, Torture, and Maiming of indigenous people, and instigating the Big Lie.

Our Quote for Today Committee chose film maker John Water’s observation about Columbus Day: “I also hate those holidays that fall on a Monday where you don’t get mail, those fake holidays like Columbus Day. What did Christopher Columbus do, discover America? If he hadn’t, somebody else would have and we’d still be here. BFD!”

And if you check your calendar, it says today is also Thanksgiving Day in Canada. Maybe that’s why so many Canadian Turkeys have been illegally crossing the border lately.

Today, Obama marked Columbus Day by issuing a proclamation that reflects “on the tragic burdens tribal communities bore” in the years that followed the discovery of the New World by Christopher Columbus. What a load of Liberal Claptrap that is.

Ironically, several years ago local Kneepad Liberals came to the aid of Columbus’ evil descendants, because they still can’t stop whining about how that joke sign bar owner Tom Ullum had in the window of his Pleasure Inn in Mason saying “For Service Speak English” was unfair to illegal aliens. No kidding.

Obviously, no Hispanics could’ve possibly complained. How could they be offended if they couldn’t read the signs in English? Maybe the sign should’ve said “Para el sevicio habla ingles.” At least it didn’t say “Wetbacks Not Welcome!”

But those Hideous Harpies at HOME (Housing Owners Made to pay Extortion) saw the sign as a capital offense. They referred the matter to the Ohio Uncivil Rights Commission, which claimed the Pleasure Inn was engaged in “discriminatory practices,” and Skaggie Maggie’s idiotorial writers at the Morning Fishwrap pontificated that progressive citizens of Mason and elsewhere should demand the bar owner be burned at the stake, at the very least.

Conservative Critic Will duRANT IV said the “Thought Police” (thinkpol in Newspeak) was the secret police in the novel “1984” whose job it was to uncover and punish thought crime. The Thought Police used psychology and omnipresent surveillance to find and eliminate members of society who were capable of the mere thought of challenging the ruling authority. If Tom Ullum wasn’t a candidate for sensitivity training, we don’t know who was. Where was Marge Schott now when we really needed her?

Moises, Julio, Alfredo, and Jose wonder if America will still be free if we continue to make the changes forced on us by on behalf of people from other countries that came to live in America because it’s the Country of Choice?

One of our subscribers sent us this piece that tries to answer that question:

Immigrants, Not Americans must adapt.

We’re tired of listening to liberal sheeple bleat about offending some individual or his culture. After the terrorist attacks on September 11, we experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the “politically correct” crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

The Blower is not against immigration, nor do we hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants.

However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a “multicultural community” has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity.

As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own life-style.

This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language.

Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

And while we’re at it, “In God We Trust” is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right-wing political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented.

It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, we suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.

If the Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don’t like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don’t care how you did things where you came from.

This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our life-style. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so!

But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, we highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

It’s time for America to speak up. If you agree, pass this along. And if you don’t agree, stick it up your ass!

And don’t forget, with only 1,194 more days of America’s Dark Ages during Obama’s Second Term (unless he’s impeached), Obama Supporters in the Press will still be trying to fool all those Dumbed-Down, Self-Absorbed, Media-Influenced, Celebrity-Obsessed, Politically-Correct, Uninformed, Short-Attention-Span, Free-Stuff Grabbing, Low-Information Obama Followers one more time. And you certainly must admit, our Feckless Fishwrappers are doing more than their share.

What’s all this crap about trashing Christopher Columbus? You may be aware that in 2013, it will have been 521 years since he sailed the ocean blue. The revisionists, soreheads, and people with little or no lives of their own have been howling a dozen or more different tunes about why the discovery of the western world was a horrible mistake and that we should still be clothed in potato skins (animal skins not being politically correct) and communicating by drawing pictures in the dirt with sticks.

First of all, yes, there were people here when Columbus got here. They were not lost. Maybe they didn’t exactly know where they were, but they probably didn’t care. And it is true that the Vikings or the Irish or a bunch of Swiss bobsled riders landed on the shores of what is now North America before Columbus. Asians crossed the land bridge into Alaska and wandered down into the lower 48. Hell, even people from outer space were here, if you listen to the other nut cases.

What Columbus did was to TELL SOMEONE ABOUT IT! He was looking for a way to make a name for himself pick up some money, and get trade going. He was looking for Japan. And he and his crew did not believe they would fall off the edge of the earth. Most folks, even then, knew the world was round. Columbus had a purpose. It wasn’t to just sail around and go back home. He was a mover and a shaker.

Imagine what it would have been like if others had made “discoveries” and then forgot about them. Suppose Alexander Graham Bell would have said to Watson or whatever his name was, “Come here, I need you” then decided that a telephone would have been an intrusion and skipped the whole thing. Or if Edison had invented the light bulb and then had second thoughts about putting oil lamps out of business. Or if he decided he didn’t want to run up the electric bill. So he just put the bulb aside and went on to one of his naps.

It doesn’t do much good to invent, perfect, or discover something if you don’t tell anyone about it. That’s what Columbus did. That’s what he was paid to do,

People have a tendency to rewrite history to suit themselves. Usually it is done by a ruling party of a dictator. The Russians are probably completely confused because so much of their past bas been doctored by the Communist Party and the various emperors who have sat uneasily at its head. It happens all the time in countries all over the world. In the United States, even the smallest pressure group can get things changed to fit their wild hare ideas of how things were, are, and should be. Stranger yet, they try to get the government to pay for it and support it with the money taken away from the people the changes will damage. What a country!

So let’s lighten up a bit, folks. Columbus was, in effect, an act of nature. The strong are going to survive at the expense of the weak, the stupid, and the ones who don’t do anything with what they have. If it had not been Columbus, someone else would have come along and did what Ol’ Chris did…and that was simply to say, “Hey, guys, look what I found. Is this great or what?”

It’s sort of like members of Congress discovering they could write bad checks and skip out on meals without paying. Had just one congressman committed such an act, not much would have taken place. But once he found a good thing, the blood suckers came in droves to take advantage of the weak and stupid…in this case, voters.

So don’t blame Columbus.
