Another September to Remember

  • image004Today may be T-Minus Two Days and Counting for a Government Shutdown, but Whistleblower Business Editor Merrill Forbes says in 1986, September proved to be a hard month for investors. In the span of three short weeks, the Dow lost just under two hundred points. 200 points? BFD! Whistleblower Business Editor Merrill Forbes explains during the Obama Recession, up-and-down changes that size in the Stock Market seem to happen every other day and you don’t see anybody really panicking.

And is Hallmark really selling “Sorry You Lost Your Job Cards?” During the next 1,210 days of America’s Dark Ages during the Obama Administration, we bet they’ll sell a lot.

  • HURLEY THE HISTORIAN says on this date in 1918, Private Henry Tandey, a British soldier serving near the French village of Marcoing, reportedly encountered a wounded German soldier and declined to shoot him, sparing the life of then-29-year-old Lance Corporal Adolf Hitler. Today, no doubt Obama would celebrate Private Tandey’s compassion, and American Jews would have yet another reason to love Obama even more.

  • FRIDAY IN THE US SENATE, the Chaplain said, “Lord, deliver us from governing from crisis,” but The Blower thinks it looked more like this.
  • MAYBE THAT’S WHY OUR QUOTE FOR TODAY COMMITTEE chose Michelle Malkin’s “Who needs enemies when you’ve got Republican Surrenderists for ObamaCare waiting in the wings?”
  • ALSO ON FRIDAY BEFORE THE SENATE VOTED, the Anderson TEA Party was telling its patriots to contact Republicans in the U.S. Senate like Rob “Fighting for Fairness” Portman’s office and tell The Robmeister’s chief of staff Rob Lehrman: “I DO NOT WANT OBAMACARE TO BE IMPLEMENTED OR FUNDED, BUT RATHER DEFUNDED AND REPEALED. I DO NOT WANT THE SENATE TO END DEBATE ON THE HOUSE CR. I DO NOT WANT SENATOR PORTMAN TO VOTE FOR CLOTURE ON THE HOUSE CR.”

Those calls to Portman must’ve worked, since he was only one of 19 Republican Senators (along with Kentucky’s Rand Paul but not Bitch McConnell) not to cave in to Obama and the DemocRATS and vote for Cloture 79-19, when 25 RINOs voted in favor of moving forward and 19 Real Republicans voted against.

That set up the 54-44 vote Friday afternoon to amend the legislation by stripping out language that would defund Obamacare.

The GOP votes not to continue to block the legislation represented a rejection of Faux Filibusterer Texas Senator Ted Cruz’s arguments that Republicans would be helping DemocRATS by moving the bill.

Now everybody’s waiting to see what John Boehner and the TEA Partiers in the House will do next. Boehner has said the stripped-down bill will not reach the floor. House Conservatives on Friday rallied around a proposal to attach a one-year delay of the healthcare law and send it back to the Senate. Senate DemocRATS say this will be rejected and result in a government shutdown. That makes it T-Minus Two and Counting, Shutdown Fans!

Anderson TEA Party Secretary Harriet Anderson, in true “Blazing Saddles” fashion, remembers the letter she wrote to Portman earlier this year: “We, the White, God-fearing Citizens of Anderson Township, wish to express our extreme displeasure with your support for same sex marriage. Please change your position immediately! The fact that you have done this just goes to prove that you are the leading asshole in the Senate!”

  • AND HOW CAN THEY CALL IT “AFFORDABLE” ANYWAY? Disingenuous DemocRATS chose to call it “Affordable” when Obama and the DemocRATS hid all the costs and told all those lies just so they could pass the bill. Something is “Affordable” when someone else is paying for it, like “Affordable Housing.”  Everyone who has insurance now will pay higher rates to make it “Affordable” for Obama’s 47%.
  • THE LATEST POLLS: Whistleblower Pollster Ron Rasmussen says only 30% of Likely U.S. Voters now believe the nation’s health care system will get better under the new law, while 51% still think the law will make the health care system worse. That’s the lowest level of pessimism since February. And you thought all those Dumbed-Down, Self-Absorbed, Media-Influenced, Celebrity-Obsessed, Politically-Correct, Uninformed, Short-Attention-Span, Free-Stuff Grabbing, Low-Information Obama-Supporters weren’t really paying attention these days.
  • IN COLUMBUS: Obama-Loving members of Ohio-based Service Employees International Union Local 1 have gone on strike over recent job cuts by a janitorial company called Professional Maintenance, which of course blamed ObamaCare. But isn’t SEIU is a major supporter of the law the so-called Affordable Health Care Law?
  • image021MOTHER GOOSE X-PLAINED BY BUNKY TADWELL, THE BARD OF CLEVES:

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the King’s horses and all the King’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty together again.

image008This verse points out the futility of government trying to administer health care. What kind of organization would send horses to aid a fallen person? And what does the King do? He sends more Horses and Men. Meanwhile, Mrs. Dumpty wants to sue the King, but a bunch of unelected Parasites ruled Humpty committed suicide so there’s no case. Besides, as we all know, “What difference does it make anyway?”

  • IN KENTUCKY: The Fishwrap could hardly wait to mention in Politics Extra how DemocRAT Governor Steve BeShear wrote a column for the New York Times praising the daylights out of ObamaCare. The Blower’s surprised our ObamaCare loving Fishwrappers didn’t publish it on their own front page.

Also, the CamBoozler and his Bluegrass Moonshine Mafia have been busy covering a list of political activities across the Mason-Dixon Line. Starting with Kenton County and the Will I Am turning into a Will I Ain’t A Comin at Nathan “Cornbread” Smith’s home a few days back.  Seems the B.E. Pea stayed home and stuck Cornbread with a boozed up crowd.  This was an event for Ally Grimes, but they still brought in the moula.  You Got It!

The KY Court of Appeals race is looking like a simple two horse race.  You have the current appointed judge with Jones from Louisville that will be challenged by Justin Sanders of NoKY.  Yes, this the Robster’s little brother.  The Blower editorial board and Moonshine Mafia are calling this one for Sanders.  Our basis is “NoKY” and Sanders’ name recognition.

In Campbell County, it looks like the Judge-Executive’s race is back to two:  “Give Em Hell” Sell and Spendery.  Voelker is out.  We will see if the voters there want a 20-year judge-executive who will continue to raise taxes, release senior citizen beds to other counties, and push for tolls on the Brent-Spence.  When State Senator Katie Stine “Don’t Call Me Stein” announced her retirement, sources say “Give Em Hell” said no way, not my thing.  We learned today that Spendery and friends are considering it as a way to staying relevant and develop another path to tax and spend.  Others in the race seem to be Will “Peanuts” Schroeder (yes, he lives in Campbell, not Kenton) and Brandon “The Librarian” Voelker.  Camboo thinks it will just be the two youngsters and the outcome is anyone’s guess right now.

Meanwhile, the latest and greatest e-dition of Our Good Friend Kenton County Commonwealth’s Attorney E Rob Sanders great tasting e-newsletter is on cyber news stands now!  This week’s This Week In Kenton Circuit Court features another e-dition of Billy Bob the Bluegrass Bailiff’s favorite game of “pick the chick”!  One scum bag pictured here is actually female.  Can you pick her out?  Check out the Robster’s e-rag for the right answer.

Maybe that’s why our Whistleblower Senior Spoiled Sports Editor Andy FurBall chose Bob Veale’s “Good pitching will beat good hitting any time, and vice versa.”

Meanwhile that year, over at Channel 19 Trish the Dish was reporting the Bungals’ “Tragic Number” was still “14,” but nobody couldn’t explain how she figured that out.

REMEMBER: If you can’t improve on the news, you shouldn’t even be reporting it.
