Number Four Tried Harder

  • image004Whistleblower Senior National Political Affairs Analyst Britt Humus says all Real Republicans spent the entire day watching Wednesday’s Whistleblower Link of the Day’s live coverage of Ted Cruz’s Faux Filibuster, as the Texas TEA Party Senator tried to speak out against ObamaCare “until he was no longer able to stand.”

Cruz was going for the Filibuster Speaking Record set by then-a-DemocRAT Senator Strom Thurmond of South Carolina, who spoke for 24 hours and 18 minutes against the Civil Rights Act of 1957. The second longest filibuster was conducted by Republican Senator Alfonse D’Amato of New York, who spoke for 23 hours and 30 minutes to stall debate on an important military bill in 1986. The third longest filibuster in American political history was conducted by DemocRAT Senator Wayne Morse of Oregon, who spoke for 22 hours and 26 minutes to stall debate on the Tidelands Oil bill in 1953.

Wednesday at 10:47 AM Cruz passed the 18-hour mark, and soon surpassed the fourth-longest speech in Senate history conducted by DemocRAT Senator Robert La Follette Sr. of Wisconsin, who spoke for 18 hours and 23 minutes to stall debate in 1908. But everybody was watching to see if he’s get a chance to break No.3, since he’d have to speak past 1:00 PM when the Senate had scheduled the vote that will end the debate. Cruz’s marathon ended at noon, when Dreadful DemocRAT Majority Leader Harry Reid called Cruz’s speech a big waste of time. Meanwhile, House DemocRATS were fundraising off Ted Cruz’s Filibuster, asking supporters to demand he “Sit Down.”

Shortly after noon it was reported that following 21 hours and 19 minutes, Ted Cruz ended his historic speech deriding Obama’s signature health care law because Senate rules had forced him to relinquish control of the floor ahead of a vote later today on a motion to proceed to a House-passed bill that would keep the government open through December 15 while defunding ObamaCare.

Actually, Cruz’s TV Talk Show wasn’t technically a filibuster, because he couldn’t actually block the Senate from going about its business — but symbolically, he was trying to show his opposition to something through a demonstration of his physical will, instead of blending into the wallpaper when our country faces a critical issue like a Republican Senator from Ohio we know, but refuse to name out of kindness.

  • Hurley the Historian says on this date in 1960, the first televised presidential debate was held between Kennedy and Nixon. Today you could watch Filibusters on your Whistleblower Web Page, until Dawdling DemocRATS cut it off.
  • That’s why our Quote for Today Committee chose DemocRAT Former Indiana Senator Evan Bayh’s “Filibusters have proliferated because under current rules just one or two determined senators can stop the Senate from functioning. Today, the mere threat of a filibuster is enough to stop a vote; senators are rarely asked to pull all-nighters like Jimmy Stewart in ‘Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.’”
  • image006Recently Obama Supporters in the Press idolized Wendy Davis for filibustering for baby killing in the Texas State Senate, but even before Senator Cruz began grandstanding against ObamaCare, the Conservative was branded a laughingstock by many journalists on Twitter, and of course, an “embarrassment” in the eyes of The New York Times editorial board.
  • The Cincinnati TEA Party says if you were stirred by the Senator Ted Cruz’s speech, you can honor his fight for liberty by pledging to take effective action and make a real difference. Here are three ways:

(1) Run in the primary to be your neighborhood “precinct committeeman.” You may never have heard of this position, but these people have a HUGE say in determining which candidates ultimately appear on the ballot. If you are sick of unprincipled politicians, this is the front-line fight to be rid of them. Learn more at: www.ohioprecinctproject.com.

(2) Focus on primary elections. Today, eighty percent of districts are one-party dominated. This means the only way to replace an unprincipled representative (in most cases) is during the primary. Even though this is the case – fewer than one out of four people even bother to vote in the primary. The establishment gerrymandered districts to protect themselves, BUT THEY NEVER SAW YOU COMING! Defeating them in these elections takes a much smaller number of votes than in a general election and is very doable.

(3) Help grow the REACH of liberty-minded media. “Like” Facebook pages, join e-mail lists, forward and share liberty-minded stories. Without effective communication, we will always be playing catch-up with the mainstream media. The good news is that changing the media paradigm is FREE and just takes a few minutes a day. Be a modern Paul Revere and help those battling for liberty spread the word.

  • The Blower says there are now only 40 more days until this year’s elections on November 5, and Conservatives should be doing everything they can to get Real Republicans elected, except in Cincinnati, where Hamilton County RINO Party Boss Alex T., Mall Cop GOP forgot to find somebody to run for Mayor of Cincinnati and enough people to run for City Clown-cil.
  • Meanwhile, Bluegrass Bureau Chief Ken CamBoo reported the Kentucky TEA Party had organized two Rallies to Defund ObamaCare on Wednesday at Bitch McConnell’s offices. Please e-mail us some pictures if any of the signs call the old Bitcher a backstabbing bastard. And does anybody remember when “BeanBall Jim” Bunning commented about his DemocRAT Senate Compatriots:  “It seems as though there are Members in this body who want to filibuster just about everything we try to do, whether it is stopping judicial nominations, the Energy bill, or this Medicare bill?”
  • image007Finally, at yesterday’s meeting of the Conservative Agenda, Political Insiders were asking Beloved Whistleblower Publisher Charles Foster Kane about the sorry state of governance these days in our Nation’s Capital. “Maybe it’s time for somebody to dust off that Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution,” Kane suggested. “That’s the one that says ‘Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.’ ” Come to think of it, isn’t that what James Madison said in one of those Federalist Papers Essays?

Do you think any of our Dumbed-Down, Self-Absorbed, Media-Influenced, Celebrity-Obsessed, Politically-Correct, Uninformed, Short-Attention-Span, Free-Stuff Grabbing, Low-Information Obama-Supporers would even now what we’re talking about?
