A Ridiculous Reader’s Reaction

  • image005Remember when the Morning Fishwrap published a letter from a reader who claimed he was constantly amazed at how many individuals disagreed with a politician by criticizing him or her with the harshest words they could imagine? Our Ridiculous Reader said referring to someone as “stupid,” “inept,” “dishonest,” or with other derogatory adjectives will not change the viewpoint of a strong supporter of that person. Facts (real facts), our Ridiculous Reader says, would sway the other side, but not name calling.

Was that guy nuts?

That’s just the kind of touchy-feely Rodney King “Can’t We All Get Along?” claptrap you’d expect the eunuchs on Skaggie Maggie’s idiotorial board to publish. It’s no wonder The Fishwrap and our local Society of Unprofessional Journalists still can’t understand why so many of their Dumbed-Down, Self-Absorbed, Media-Influenced, Celebrity-Obsessed, Politically-Correct, Uninformed, Short-Attention-Span, Free-Stuff Grabbing, Low-Information Readers and Viewers don’t understand the world around them.

  • image008You’ll never convince a Lying Liberal with facts (even “real” facts, as our Ridiculous Reader suggests). Just check out the Disingenuous DemocRATS in Congress. As soon as they read our Ridiculous Reader’s letter, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chucky Schumer, and all those Obama Supporters in the Press just keep on publishing bogus information to demoralize Republicans and continue to promote their Liberal Agenda during the next 1,221 days of Obama’s “historic leadership,” like this week when they all couldn’t stop spinning about the ridiculous deal Obama’s Secretary of State John Kerry worked out with the Russians that will allow Syrian Butcher Bashar al-Assad to stay in power — and keep his chemical weapons for a year — under a Russian-sponsored deal that critics slammed as undermining American leverage in the Mideast. What could possibly go wrong with that?
  • These days, discredited Mainstream Media are so far in the tank for Obama, the latest Gallup poll says only 23% of American adults have “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in newspapers and television news. That’s the worst results since 2007. The Blower wonders how those ratings have fallen since you no longer get to read all those lies and distortions online in The Fishwrap for free.
  • image010But attack ads and negative campaigning work. They always have, and you’re nothing but a poor deluded dunce if you think people will ever change. Taking the high road in politics gets you nowhere. Just look how far Bush 41’s “kinder, gentler” approach got him. Better he should’ve used “1,000 Points of Spite.”
  • Last year Obama Supporters spent hundreds of millions of dollars lying about Mitt Romney on TV, and Friends of Ohio’s Disingenuous DemocRAT U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown used millions of somebody else’s money to call his opponent Josh Mandel “the most dishonest candidate in the country.” But our Mendacious Media never seem to mind. Political Advertising is always “Cash in Advance.”
  • This year, we’ve already gotten a taste of negative advertising in the Cincinnati Mayor’s race. Unless we get a little rain, there will never be enough mud for Disguised DemocRAT John Cranley and Extremely Liberal DemocRAT Foxy Roxy Qualls to sling at each other during the next seven weeks until the November 5 Election.

Take Foxy Roxy’s nasty little ad showing Cranley leaving City Hall with a wheelbarrow full of money, stealing a dollar from a little kid in a stroller, and having a dog piss on his campaign sign.

A day Cranley slung a little mud of his own with an ad accusing Foxy Roxy of “false ads and bad ideas.”

The Blower can only imagine what would happen if Queen Noble ran TV attack ads. Hey, Queenie— send us a YouTube!

  • image012So let’s face it, folks: Whistleblower Subscribers want to hear their stupid, inept, and dishonest politicians criticized in the harshest possible terms. They want us to call a spade a spade, a lying bitch a lying bitch, a corrupt political party boss corrupt, a masturbating trustee a masturbating trustee, and they want us to question a sheriff’s integrity if he’s breaking the law. They love the derogatory nicknames we give people.
  • So will the Whistleblower continue ignoring wussies like The Fishwrap’s Ridiculous Reader?

You bet! Today there are only 50 more days till the 2013 Elections, so as the official publication of record for all that political scrambling, speculation, mud-slinging, and back-stabbing in the Tri-state, our readers expect nothing less.

  • image014Which is why our Quote for Today Committee chose Aristotle’s: “Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.”

Because unlike Fishwrap bloggers, who pretend to care about maintaining a dose of civility, The Blower might still contain unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, pornographic, profane, or indecent information. Everything we write doesn’t have to be so mean-spirited. It’s just so much more fun that way!

  • Hurley the Historian says this month in 1814, Francis Scott Key watched the rockets’ red glare in the skies above Fort McHenry in Maryland and America’s greatest hit was born. It’s too bad most Americans these days including both Obamas can’t remember all the words without a teleprompter.
  • Now it’s time to reaffirm Our Beloved Whistleblower Motto (Let’s all say it together): “Because wherever there’s corruption, we’ll be there. Wherever there’s injustice, we’ll be there. And wherever there’s a bunch of big guys beating up on a little guy, we’ll be there too…holding the little guy down, and that goes double for Ridiculous Readers of The Fishwrap who don’t like it when people call stupid, inept, and dishonest politicians stupid, inept, and dishonest.”
