Remembering the Gipper

  • image004Hurley the Historian says Ronald Reagan was born on this date in 1911. Reagan’s birthday is a High Holy Day for Conservatives, especially during these trying times, and Real Republicans are asking, “What would He do today?”
  • If The Gipper were alive today, here’s what he might say about the Obama Administration:

“Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.”

Instead of “Morning in America, it would be “Mourning in America.”

  • About today’s economy, Reagan might say: “Recession is when a neighbor loses his job. Depression is when you lose yours.”
  • About RINOs and DemocRATS in Congress, Reagan might say:

“Government always finds a need for whatever money it gets.”

“Government’s first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives.”

“One way to make sure crime doesn’t pay would be to let the government run it.”

“Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.”

“The problem is not that people are taxed too little, the problem is that government spends too much.”

“The most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

And “I have wondered at times what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the US Congress.”

  • About our Kneepad Liberals in the Press, Reagan might say, “Before I refuse to take your questions, I have an opening statement.”
  • image009In spite of what his idiot son Ron, Jr. might say on Liberal TV Talk Shows, Reagan would very much approve of what Tea Party Activists were doing to shake up the Republican Party in Congress for the past few years. Reagan would probably even joke that he’d been in Boston for the first Tea Party.
  • Would Ronald Reagan approve of how all those Obama Supporters in the Press are trying to compare Obama with “The Gipper?” Could anything be more ridiculous than that cover of Time Magazine, attempting to portray Obama as the successor to the greatest Republican president of the 20th century? Time even made Obama taller than Reagan, which also is not true. Have these people no shame?
  • image012And when Reagan was President, nobody ever doubted America’s support for Israel, especially the Israelis.
  • Remembering 1979, Ronald Reagan would be especially concerned with Obama’s current “Jimmy Carter Moment,” as the Chaos continues in Cairo, and our Appeaser-in-Chief’s pathetic policy is now allowing jihadists at the Muslim Brotherhood (who want to end Egypt’s peace agreement with Israel) to play a key role in a so-called “reformed” Egyptian government. It’s too bad that today there will still be 1,444 more days during the Dark Ages of Obama’s Second Term, thanks to all those Dumbed-Down, Self-Absorbed, Media-Influenced, Celebrity-Obsessed, Politically-Correct, Uninformed, Short-Attention-Span Obama Supporters who elected him.
  • Does anybody remember the outcome of the 1980 Presidential Election, when Reagan ran against Jimmy Carter? Award Winning Photo Illustrator Artis Conception does.

  • Some of the other things hereabouts Reagan definitely wouldn’t have approved of during recent years include:

image015Yesterday, when Ohio Republican Governor John Kasich lowered Ohio’s burgee and ran up the surrender flag, as he agreed to accept Obamacare funding to expand his state’s Medicaid program, breaking ranks with fellow Republican governors and the Tea Party that elected him in 2010.

The Ludicrous Lack of Leadership in Hamilton County, the City of Cincinnati, and in Columbus: The good news? Tea Party Patriots are slowly catching on that for any significant change to occur, they must first focus on local races that they could affect and have a majority and at the County and State Central Committees as well.

Giving another dime of over-taxed payers’ money to “Millionaire Mike” Brown and the Bungals.

image018How Disgraced Former Congresswoman “Mean Jean Schmidt” continuously embarrassed her Ohio Second Congressional District constituents, like that time she called Ronald Reagan’s supporters “Little Hitlers” at the 1984 Republican Convention?

How Mean Jean’s successor “Bronze Star Brad” Wenstrup has been in office for more than a month and his Overpaid District Representative John Stanton has not even figured out how to send out a press release telling constituents about his boss’ District Office at an undisclosed location (across the street from the Anderson Tea Party Headquarters).

Outrageous political reporting by the local news media, especially Skaggie Maggie’s totally discredited agenda at The FishWrap and the Forest Hills Urinal’s continued cover-up for Whacky Jacky O’Brien’s Illegitimate Masturbating Son Kevin, the candidate they helped get elected under false pretenses, as well as their blatant promotion for the Forrest Gump School’s Humongous Property Tax Hike on the March 6 ballot last year’s, so local property owners of $200,000 houses could now pay $2,000-a-year to support greedy teachers and administrators.

The Greed Township Trustees’ passing over 98 qualified applicants to give that $50,000 make-work job to the Party Boss’ soon-to-be-former spouse as part of his alimony settlement.

Clintonista Judge Mr$. $tan Che$ley’s efforts to hand Judge John William’s Juvenile Court seat that he won fair-and-square to our Disgruntled DemocRAT Tracie Hunter.

Crooked Cronies in Clermont County using Reagan’s Eleventh Commandment (which states “Thou shalt not speak ill of another Republican”) to cover up for Resigned-in-Disgrace County Commissioner Archie Wilson, as word came out about “investigations” and Archie’s fall from grace in Northern Kentucky, when The Blower predicted a real “Jimmy Swaggart Moment” for our Bible-thumping, Tea Party banner-waving Commissioner, who wanted to turn downtown Batavia into a junk yard, one way or another.

But despite that Eleventh Commandment, Reagan surely would’ve called WLW Hate Radio Trash Talker Bill Cunningham a “draft dodger.”

And in Northern Kentucky, Reagan would certainly be ashamed Eric ‘Call Me Crazy, Big Mouth, Most Sanctioned, Ambulance Chaser, No Count of a Radio Host, Shameless Self Promoter, Willie Wannabe, Why Haven’t I Been Disbarred, Who Likes Bulldogs and Failed Roadhouse Operator’ Deters had ever identified himself as a Republican.

Reagan would’ve thoroughly approved of the recent 6th Circuit Court of Appeals decision where the Crazy One got laughed out of court by a three-judge panel instead of just the usual one trial judge. Seems the 6th Circuit’s judges, whom Crazy always said were more fair to him than esteemed US District Court Judges William Bertelsmann and Danny Reeves, agreed that our Good Friend Kenton County Commonwealth Attorney E. Rob Sanders did nothing wrong in the prosecution of NoKY’s (first) notorious sex-ed teacher, Nicole Howell, who should thank her lucky stars that she’s not reading this in prison.

  • image019One thing hereabouts Reagan probably would approve of would be the way Beloved Whistleblower Publisher Charles Foster Kane is always quoting him to Political Insiders at Conservative Agenda Meetings. You bet! As the publication of record for all the political scrambling, speculation, mud-slinging, and back-stabbing in the Tri-state, our readers know to expect nothing less.

Kane’s favorite Reagan quote has always been: “My fellow Americans, I am pleased to tell you I just signed legislation which outlaws Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes.” Can’t you just imagine Obama doing something like that today?

In Northern Kentucky, Reagan would approve of the fact that only Republicans are allowed to win elections, and he would thoroughly approve of the way The Robster puts all those Obama supporters in jail.

  • One group that has perverted the Reagan legacy is Republicans for Higher Taxes, with its agenda of higher taxes, runaway spending, and frequent support for DemocRATS. Their motto is: You need to tighten your belt, so the government doesn’t have to tighten theirs. They are hardly alone.
  •  But one thing’s for sure, neither Reagan nor Lincoln would be attending the Hamilton County RINO Party’s Lincoln-Reagan Dinner, which is scheduled for more than a month after both Lincoln’s and Reagan’s Birthdays this year. Which is why our Quote for Today Committee chose Reagan’s “Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first.”

  • Not only are our local RINOs political prostitutes, they continue to be wimps. Since they still spend all their time trying to be loved by the very people who’re out to destroy them, it’s no wonder they’re still “Wandering in the Wilderness.” Liberals still have our dumbed-down Republicans on defense, which is exactly why Hamilton County turned “Blue” under the same lack of leadership, just as The Blower predicted all those years ago.
  • image024In yesterday’s e-dition, we said if one of our Reaganites would like to submit a Top Ten List of Reagan Quotes, we’d certainly consider publishing it, and one of our favorite Conservative Contributors said, “How about posting this YouTube video? It was Ronald Reagan’s entire “A Time for Choosing” speech, given in support of Barry Goldwater for President in 1964 – 16 years BEFORE Reagan ran for President. The speech was not only stunning for its wisdom, but chilling in that it portrayed what we are going through now.

The first five minutes of his speech will explain that the Disingenuous DemocRATS in the White House and Congress haven’t changed since 1964. Give it a listen and see if you don’t agree this entire speech was brilliant. Not only that: Reagan wrote his own speeches and didn’t have to use a teleprompter, even once!

  • image027Finally, as Real Republicans wonder when Ronald Reagan will assume his rightful place on Mount Rushmore, The Blower wonders how many times will Ronald Reagan’s legacy be exploited today on his 102nd birthday. Let us count the ways. Conservatives have only to check their e-mail in-boxes this morning. And just think—for only $29.95, you can get a Life-Size Ronald Reagan Cardboard Cut Out. Such a deal! You can even take your picture standing next to it and e-mail it to all your Facebook friends.

There He Goes Again

  • image030Remember the term “Reagan DemocRATS?” In the 1980s, it meant Conservative DemocRATS who were embarrassed by the failures of the Carter Administration and the Liberal largesse of folks like Teddy Kennedy and George McGovern.

Reagan DemocRATS, just like Ronald Reagan himself, were hard-working people who believed in the exceptionalism of America and understood that only they were the true guarantors of their success.

More than thirty years have passed and the Liberal head lice that now infest the media, entertainment industry, and college campuses have, not surprisingly, twisted the term so that Reagan DemocRATS are now just uneducated hicks who don’t really know what is good for them.

These loony libs tell us that the current home of these poor, working-class boobs is in the Tea Party movement. Guess what? Ronald Reagan knew far more about the true spirit of the American people than the collective so-called intelligencia who constantly belittle them.

And, as they always have and always will, these reinvigorated Tea Party Patriots are turning away from the Third World-style pessimism still being foisted upon them by Barack Hussein Obama and his Liberal cronies.

Speaking of “homes,” is it only The Blower that finds something wrong with the Chicago home where the late President Ronald Reagan grew up being slated for demolition and potentially turned into a parking lot for Obama’s Presidential Library.

And if you think members of Romney Supporters Anonymous are depressed because Obama won re-election in 2012, try to remember that Real Reaganites still haven’t gotten over Obama’s first election in 2008.

  • During any tough day at the office, our Ornery Obama Observer will think back to his hero Ronald Reagan’s joke line that he often used to fire up his critics, “They say hard work never killed anybody . . . but why risk it?”

And who could ever fairly forget the deep sense of optimism that Ronald Reagan possessed and readily shared with the American people. While not his own, he loved to tell this story, “two children participated in a science experiment to study the effects of attitude. The pessimistic child cried and cried even though he was placed in a room full of brand new toys . . . because he said he knew the toys would eventually get old and break. Ah, but that optimistic boy. Despite being placed in a filthy stable, the scientists found him cheerfully throwing horse manure in every direction. Well, when the puzzled scientists asked the boy how he could possibly be so happy . . . he cheerfully exclaimed that, “With all this horse crap, there has to be a pony in here somewhere!!!”

Despite the apparent doom and gloom of Obama’s Divided America . . . Ronald Reagan’s spirit reminds us that, for America, well, there is always a pony in there somewhere.
